How To Create an Inspirational Mixed Media Card Using Brusho Inks

Hi all

I have been playing around with my Brushos again and this time i blotted the excess ink off with a baby wipe which gives this lovely blended look.

Product List

Brushos Ultramarine, Turquoise and Purple

DecoArt White Gesso, Black Modeling Paste and Pixlated Stencil

Bee Crafty Stamps Poppy boarder

Creative Expressions Arty Background stamp set

Shot of full project

Spritz water onto the card and then flick the Brusho powders over the top using a paint bush this allows you to control where the powder lands. Once dry  apply  DecoArt White Gesso  to  middle of the card with a palette knife.

Dab with a baby wipe to soak up excess ink and then reuse this to add more ink over the card once the first layer has dried. Keep your inked up baby wipes and let them dry out as they are great for adding texture to your mixed media projects.
Add a row of stars with Decoart Black Modeling paste.

Brusho Crystal Powders are perfect for creating your own spritzing inks, just fill a small atomizer bottle with water and add the powder of your choice using a palette knife. The powders will last a very long time and if they dry out you can add water again and reuse them.

Close up of layers

The wooden dragonfly is from Docrafts Bare Basic Collection and i painted it with white acrylic paint and once it had dried i then stamped over the top using one of the texture stamps. I decorated it by adding a bow and resin flower to the centre.

Angled shot of stamping

I added a few paper layers which i cut from paper scraps and layered them up. I just layer all the bits out onto the card until i like the layout and then carefully glue it all down. I added texture stamps along the edge of the card and finished with a sentiment.
