Creepy Haunted House Shadow Box With The Blank Page Muse Stamps

Its my favourite  time of the year when things get spooky. Check out my configuration  box i created using stamps by The Blank Page Muse.

Start off by painting the box with gesso and once dry paint the frame purple and the inside green and orange.

Stamp out the halloween images and colour them with inks. Use different ink pads to create variety.

Stamp the Grunge Background stamp over the frame in black ink.

Begin to add the stamped images to the sections. Fill out the sections with faux cobwebs, faux moss and beads.

Use alphabet beads to spellout spooky words.

Keep adding layers of stamped images and charms to the box. Fill little glass bottles with micro beads and glitter to create potions.

Add gems to eyes to create  a spooky glow.

Fun Halloween Mixed Media Artist Trading Coins

Hi all

I have a spooky fun set of artist trading coins to share using some of the Halloween stamps available from The Blank Page Muse Stamps.

Use a 2.5 inch circle die to make the base from card and then spray with mist sprays to create the background.

use the large Halloween Bingo stamp on the base and then start stamping out the pieces onto card. Use different coloured inks to get different looks for the stamped images.

If you spray the card with the mist spray first, you will get stronger lines and it will stop the ink lines being washed off.

Craft Consortium Mixed Media Card Psychedelic Sugar Skull

Hi all

I have a funky sugar skull card to share today using the new paper pads by Craft Consortium.

Cover a 5 x 7 card blank with Moroccan patterned paper.
Use the plain blue sheet from the watercolour pad and cut into a rectangle  approximately 4 x 6, i used a paper cuter to help keep it straight.

Use a large scalloped circle die and cut out one of the patterned papers, glue it to the edge of the card and trim to fit.
Stamp out the sugar skull and colour in using marker pens, i tried to match the colours to the papers.

Add a sentiment using a cutting die and cut the word out using the Duck egg non shedding glitter card
decorate with mini buttons to finish.

Artful Days Tombstone Wall Hanging

Hello all

This project began as a wooden Halloween wall plaque from Poundland, i stocked up on a few from last year and have been creating my own shop of horrors with them. I look forward to my annual rummage to see what i can find to alter.

I find that black gesso will cover over all the writing and print so that something like a pre-printed wall hanging can be redecorated. If you can't get hold of any black gesso then a few layers of black paint will do the trick.

This video will show you how to get the cracks. You do not need crackle products but can get the same effect by applying a thick layer of PVA glue to the base first, Allow it to go slightly tacky before applying the paint and then leave it to set.

Product list

DecoArt Weathered Wood Medium
DecoArt Crackle Paste
DecoArt Fluid Acrylics Quinacridone Gold
DecoArt Black Gesso
DecoArt Acrylic Spray Yellow Green
DecoArt Modeling Paste

I used ink to spray white paper flowers, these are the flat mulberry type so to get them to look like flowers i layered three flowers together and then crumpled them up while wet. I added glass eye cabochons and skull beads to the middle. The skull in the center is made using a mould and paper clay. It was then painted purple with a layer of metallic paint over the top.

The chipboard spiders have been painted and then decorated with gems, the  Pear Drop Marbled Gems just happen to be the right shape for the spider's body.

I added the pearl balls and charms around the project with a few paper die cuts.

Hellgnome's Death Digis Dead man in the moon Halloween Card

Hello all
I have a mixed media Halloween card to share using one of the new releases by Hellgnome's Death Digis.
This one is called Dead man in the moon and you can get it here https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/633891908/dead-man-in-the-moon?ref=shop_home_active_1

Cover a 6 x 6 card with paper and than use a stencil over the background using modelling paste. Before the paste sets, sprinkle over glass glitter on gently tap it down onto the paste. Once it has set you can dry brush over the embossed areas using metallic paint.
Colour in the image with marker pens and use a circle cutting die to turn it into a topper.
I happened to have a Halloween die that fits so i cut that out of purple glitter card.
Next cut out a few cobwebs and add those to the corners of the card and decorate with charms and bits.
Finish the card off by dying a few white flowers in Halloween colours and drying them off with a heat tool. Glue clusters of flowers and buttons to the card .

I made these plaques using wood slices and the Haunted Ephemera Halloween collage sheets which you can find here https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/202186604/haunted-ephemera-digital-collage-set?ga_search_query=Halloween&ref=shop_items_search_18

I used ink to dye paper flowers orange and stuck glass eye cabochons in the center . Then i used a few cutting dies with purple glitter card to add the sentiment and bats.

The numbers are cut out of craft foam to make them more 3D

This one is my favourite of the three. I used cheese cloth and ink to dye it the right colour, glued it to the base with heavy gel medium and then added the emphemera bits.
