The Memory Nest Make it Monday colour challenge

Its been a busy week, becoming a member of the TMN Design Team and getting my first commission for creativity magazine, its all been rather exciting. here is my last minute entry for the colour challenge as promised.  if you would like to pay us a visit at The Memory Nest then click here www.thememorynest.blogspot.co.uk

I used the Papermania Ahoy There range to make this layout of my favourite seaside resort. we visit nearly every year. I just love how this collection gives off a British seaside vibe and I hope we get a similar collection released in the summer.
the fancy edges were created using a boarder punch and then inked around to make them more prominent.
the banner was created by using the Xcut Bunting nesting dies and the Urban Stamps Type Write Alphabet Stamps.

Docrafts Monday

Another reason to start loving Mondays... Every Monday over at the official Docrafts Facebook page we will by sharing our projects with other crafters you can get involved here :https://www.facebook.com/docrafts?fref=ts. this week I have been crafting with the new Spring Green collection which is available as a free download for Creativity Club members.
I just love the colours in this collection and how versatile they are.
I used the type writer stamps by Urban stamps to make the sentiment and stuck them on with 3d foam dots to raise them off the card. the larger letters are the xcut carnival dies and matching stamps. I also used the sewing patches die from xcut and mounted the letters on to them.
I finished the project by covering it I stick on gems which I've take a shine to.

Crafty creations

my crafty creation this week is a scrapbook layout using the new Papermania Madame Payraud's collection. I love working with vintage tones and shabby chic. the server weather we are having in the UK at the moment is making it difficult to take clear photographs of my projects. after all if you've spent a lot of time on something you want to show it off nicely. join us at http://thememorynest.blogspot.co.uk/and share your crafty creations.
the lady in the photo is my nan with my mom and was taken around the 1960's. I love looking at old photographs to see how much things have changed.

The Crafting Cafe February Challenge

I am playing along with The Crafting Café challenge. this month you have to create a card that has an embossed element on it. you can play along here http://thecraftingcafe.blogspot.co.uk/.

I used the new digital papers from the Creativity Club for this project. you can get them from www.Docrafts.com if you are a Creativity Club member.

I used clear embossing powder to make the letters all shinny and bright. I love how heat embossing makes all the colours more vivid.
