La de dah page 2

I have another page from my La de  dah smash book to share this week. I have used a combination of the Grace Taylor papers and Bella Rose. both have lovely girly tones and patterns.

at the tender age of four, Gracie already knows her own mind and often  bosses the grown ups about.

The Memory Nest Make it Monday no 21

its been a balmy hot summer over here in England and I thought a bright cheery layout would capture the mood. its another one of Great Yarmouth this time its the top end of the seafront by the wellington pier which was reopened as an amusement centre. if you would like to have a go then share your layout at www.thememorynest.blogspot.co.uk. my next break comes at the end of summer I September and its the big one so plenty of photos to share.

I used the Grace Taylor Happy Days scrapbook kit and matching dies to make this layout.  I am not usually comfortable with using bright colours and patterns but i had a go.

Introducing the new Forget me not range from Dovecraft.

There have been many new releases from Trimcraft over the last few months and I will introduce them to you over the next few weeks.  This week I am showing off the new range by Dovecraft which is called Forget me not. Here i have a few project ideas to share and will be adding more to my Trimcraft gallery later. if you would like to see the full range or just pop in for a few project ideas the visit www.trimcraft.co.uk

whilst there are a lot of garden themed patterns and embellishments, there are also a lot of vintage floral prints as well.  combining these floral patterns with lace will add a vintage look to your projects.
I particularly like the 8x8 decoupage pad which has a lot of toppers that are ready to make up. you don't need to cut out the shapes as they come ready to pop out and layer up. Here I skipped a layer and made up the last 3 layers to create a more slim limned embellishment.
The background papers are not as busy and help tone down the other papers if you are looking for a more subtle look. The range has lots of different embellishments including paper leaves and wooden elements. This range is great for gardeners an is perfect for making gifts such as mini albums and customised journals.
i will be looking forward to seeing your projects and next week i will be introducing the Grace Taylor Scrapbook kits.

The Memory Nest Make it Monday no 20

This is my first ever sketch as a member of the sketch design team. i cant wait to see what you create with my sketches

I've chosen an old photo I had from our trip to Worthing near Sussex. it looks warm but I remember a chilly wind in the air and ended up having to buy a cardigan that was a little too big. I did enjoy Worthing thought as the sea front is nice but its a pebble beach which hurt the feet.

I used the Amy Tangerine Yes Please papers with create paper and Grace Taylor Home sweet Home collections. Sometimes less is more and I went for a more simple look this time. I created the background by using a stencil mask which I held in place with washi tape before rubbing it with ink. the die cut is the Tim Holtz Picture Wheel die and I just cut it in half.

Thank you for visiting xx
