I decided to have a go at making a cage doll which i did using various pieces of MDF for Things to Alter. we have a new challenge over on the blog so i would love to see all your makes on there. Here is the link http://thingstoalter.blogspot.co.uk/
I used the 3 inc and 6 inch sized circles for the top and bottom and I used the lolly pop sticks to make the cage bars. I trimmed them all down to fit and glued them with my glue gun. I wont lie it was fiddly and i got covered in hot glue but i am pleased with it.
The body was made using the 4inch dress form which i covered in Simply Creative deco mache papers and made a belt using lace and a rusty cog. The head is the Hatter Gorjuss Girl stamp.
I used the flur de lis MDF pieces to decorate the cage
I used the rust effect on both the cage and cogs but dry brushed a little Lagoon Blue pain over to look like peeled paint.
Here are a few progress shots
