Creating A Mixed Media Christmas Card With Gummiapan

Hi all

I am back with a mixed media Christmas card made using stamps and dies by Gummiapan available at Swedish House Crafts.

Products used

Start off by covering a 5 x 7 card blank with a stencil using modelling paste. Once it has set spritz with red mist spray and spray water over the top to spread the ink.

Ink the edges of the card with gold ink and rub some over the card to highlight the stencilled area.

Cut out a rectangle from patterned paper and adhere to the card.  Cut two 3 cm wide strips from patterned paper and cut a fish tail at the bottom and layer them over each other.
Use the  Stitched Banner Nesting dies to cut out a large banner and adhere this over the top of the other banners.

Cut out a small rectangle about 4 cm wide and glue lace along the bottom. Adhere this over the top of the large banner and then cover the top layers with a stencil and modelling paste. Once set rub gold paint over the top.

use stamp the scripted tree onto card stock. Place the matching die over the top and secure with washi tape before running it through the die cutting machine. Adhere the tree to the small rectangle and add a sentiment to finish.

Thank you for visiting

  3. I'm new to mixed media although I guess we all do it to some extent, so always great to see what people come up with. The stamp is lovely, and the image looks great with the other embellishments etc, well done.
