How To Create A Fearsome Frost Dragon Shaker Card

Hello crafty friends

I have made up a shaker card using the Frost Dragon image by Rick St Dennis. All images are available on Zibbit.  https://www.zibbet.com/rick1949/frost-dragon-2-digi-stamp

To create the background i stamped around the card blank with a texture stamp in blue and then added brusho powder over the top. I cut up dry wall tape and painted it metallic blue and then i added a stencil over the top.

To create the shaker box

1) Cut out the base with a large nesting die.
2) Cut out a piece of acetate from the same sized die.
3) Place a smaller die inside the large die and hold into place with tape.
4)  Now you have a frame, Cut out one from patterned paper and one from craft foam.
5) Glue the frame created with the craft foam to the base and once dry add beads and sequins.
6) Glue the acetate over the top and leave to dry.
7) Glue the frame cut from the patterned paper over the acetate and once dry adhere to card.

I coloured in the image using Prima Confectionary Watercolors and a water pen. I like the even amount of colour using them gives and i can still add shading if needed.

I stamped around the frame with the texture stamp to give it a more grungy look.

Forever Dark June Challenge

Hi everyone
Here is my first project as part of the Forever Dark Challenge team. we have two sponsors this month the first one is Delicious Doodles  Teri has an Etsy shop which sells these beautiful digital stamps.

you have the chance to win a few for yourselves just by playing a long with our challenge which is Anything goes, as long as its dark, goth, horror, fantasy or steampunk you can link up your projects here http://foreverdark2.blogspot.co.uk/

The winner can choose 3 digi stamps from the Delicious Doodles shop.

For my Challenge entry i choose the Celtic Dragon Frame stamp. He is easy to colour in because the shading is already part of the stamp. I used the Mirabelle paper pad for the paper layers and splattered it with black DecoArt  misters with a few splashes of green ink.

The sentiment stamp is from www.stampingallday.com
