Cherish The Memory Lemoncraft Gossamer Blue Heritage Mixed Media Scrapbook Page

Hi all

I have another mixed media page using the Lemoncraft papers available from Cherish The  Memory.

I used a photo of my Mum for this one.

On the background  apply crackle paint with a palette knife and leave to set before adding a few texture stamps and stencils. Spray blue ink onto the background and allow some of it the drip down the page.

Mount the photo onto one of the 6 x 4 ephemera cards to save time cutting out a piece of card.
Cut up strips of paper from the Gossamer Blue paper pad and layer them up on the page. Before gluing the pieces down. Experiment with bits of fabric and lace, slot them amongst the paper layers and ephemera pieces.

Cut out the butterflies and flowers from the ephemera sheets. Glue the photo onto the page and then layer up a mixture of the cut outs and paper flowers around the photo. Add more blue ink to dye some of the white flowers.

Finish off by adding clear dots and a title.

Thank you for visiting.

Ephemoire March

Hi all

I have a new video and project to share today,  I tried holding the camera as i filmed this time to get a better shot of the completed projects but this only works if you only need one hand lol. its a bit like those found footage videos so next time i make a creepy project i am going Blair Witch on you all lol. I started using prompt notes as you can see in the video. This is helping me to stop saying um everytime i stop to think so i will keep using them until i no longer babble incoherently.

I used the Vintage collage 2 papers on the base of the card and then added texture stamps and stencils to the background. Then i added ink.

The layers are a die cut chicken wire cut from the You Give Me Wings papers which are pastels and lightly patterned so great for layers. Then i dyed some cheese cloth because it gets all distressed when you ink it and then dry it out with a heat tool.

The topper is one of the flowers from the Birds,Bunnies and Blooms stamp set. The amount of times i had to keep saying that was mental. I coloured the image in useing Brusho Powders to get a watercolour effect. I added this to a little die cut tag and wrapped thread around it.

This is usung the new Fairy Children stamp set which will be in the store soon. I wanted to try a less busy layered look so i added ink to the edges of the card and then used texture stamps. I used different coloured ink pads to layer the stamps.

I used ink to colour in the fsh and marker pens on the fairies. I print out a few images and colour in the detailed parts separately.  I then cut each piece out and layer them like decoupage to stop the colours bleeding into each other.

How To Create A Simple Card Using Only Stamps

Hi all

I have a mixed media card to share today. My first attempt at a stamps only card which took me two attempts to get right.

I used
The Blank Page Muse Petals By Michelle Frae Cummings
Blank Card
Navy Blue ink paf
Green Ink pads
Gems
Watercolours
Marker pens

Start off by choosing a blank white card and then take the largest  Petal stamp and stamp that near the centre of the card.

Stamp out the flowers  around the centre

Next stamp out the circular petals in all four corners of the card.

Take the tiny flower stamps and fill in the gaps.

Colour in the large petals with watercolours and the little flowers with marker pens.

Finish by adding a sentiment and gems to the centres of the smaller flowers.

Ephemoire Bunnies, Blossoms and Birds Digital Stamp Set. Spring Flowers ATCs

Hi all

I have a set of ATCs made using the Bunnies, Blossoms and Birds Stamps Set from Ephemoire.

I started off by coating the ATC blanks with gesso and then spraying over the top with mist spray. I used blue and green with a hint of Lime green for the background.

I used texture stamps as the next layer.
I used different ink for each layer of stamping.

I used Brusho Powders as a watercolour to colour in the stamps.

I cut out each of the pieces and positioned them on the ATC before sticking them down.

Artful Days Valentines Altered Heart Tray

Hi all

I have a home decor project to share today.
This started off as a wooden heart tray.

Coat the tray with gesso and then mix gesso with Rose Red Brusho Powder and paint over the first coat. Mix Rose Red with crackle paint and apply to the base of the tray. Next stamp over the base with a texture stamp.

Use a hot glue gun to adhere a string of LED lights around the tray. These are available at Poundland and come in different colours. I then carefully glued hessian ribbon around the edge to hide the wires.

Create a heart pillow by cutting out a heart shape using a nesting die and then dying it with ink. Sew and stuff it and glue it to the corner of the tray.
Glue a resin heart to the centre.

Gather an assortment of flowers and start gluing them around the inside of the tray. Use small flowers to fill the gaps.
