Cherish The Memory Lemoncraft Gossamer Blue Heritage Mixed Media Scrapbook Page

Hi all

I have another mixed media page using the Lemoncraft papers available from Cherish The  Memory.

I used a photo of my Mum for this one.

On the background  apply crackle paint with a palette knife and leave to set before adding a few texture stamps and stencils. Spray blue ink onto the background and allow some of it the drip down the page.

Mount the photo onto one of the 6 x 4 ephemera cards to save time cutting out a piece of card.
Cut up strips of paper from the Gossamer Blue paper pad and layer them up on the page. Before gluing the pieces down. Experiment with bits of fabric and lace, slot them amongst the paper layers and ephemera pieces.

Cut out the butterflies and flowers from the ephemera sheets. Glue the photo onto the page and then layer up a mixture of the cut outs and paper flowers around the photo. Add more blue ink to dye some of the white flowers.

Finish off by adding clear dots and a title.

Thank you for visiting.

Life in a Snapshot Torquay Mixed Media Layout

Hi all here is my scrapbook page for the October sketch challenge. I am experimenting with DecoArt Acrylic paints which i used to create a mixed media background.

I used Trimcraft Back to Basics True Blue for the paper layers and Kaisercraft texture stamps on the background,

I applied a couple of stencils using DecoArt Modeling Paste to add texture and then flicked white ink over the page.

I then decorated the page woth resin flowers and sequins

Here is the Sketch and you can add your project to the link here http://whatkatiedid2.blogspot.co.uk/2016/10/life-in-snapshot-october-sketch.html

Crafters' Palette DT: Scrapbook Tutorial Using Kaisercraft Ma Cherie Collection.

Hi all
Here is my first project and tutorial for the Crafter's Palette team. I used a mixture of Tim Holtz and Kaisercraft products which are tow of my favorites.

Take a 12 x 12 sheet of pink Brazil Basics Card Stock and apply modelling paste around the edges using the Tim Holtz Gothic Lace Stencil.
Once dry, Rub over with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and rub a bit along the edges of the page and corners.
Stamp over the corners and edges using Kaisercraft Texture Stamps in Black Soot and Worn Lipstick
Cut a 7 x 5 rectangle and mat your photo onto it
Cut a larger rectangle about 9 x 7 and adhere to page
Adhere photo to edge of rectangle using 3D foam pads

Cut a few strips from patterned paper and trim in half, Slot these behind the photo.
Take the Ma Cherie Collectibles pack and slot the large flower die-cuts along the side of the photo. Cut the largest one in half and slot either side of photo.

Take a tag die-cut and slot it at the top of the photo, Spritz a few white paper flowers with magenta mister and adhere in clusters around page. Add a few Butterflies with pearls in the centers.
Cut the strip off the bottom of the 12 x 12 sheet and use the patterned side to create a few paper ribbons. Adhere these to top and bottom of page.
Finish layout with a sentiment topper for the title and a few more flowers.

Thank you for visiting.

I used Amy Tangerine yes please with Basic Grey Urban prairie  and Daisy d's nursery rhyme papers.

The stamp is From Kaisercraft and is call Botanical. i added gesso to the page before stamping so that it would print a clearer image.

Whimsical Wednesday 12th june

i know its summer but i took one look at this sketch and thought that it would make a nice Christmas layout so i went and made one. some times when i make layouts for challenges i make 2 or 3 different layouts of the same sketch but then i can't decide what to enter.

i coated the chipboard in gresso before spraying with emerald green misting spray, once it was nearly dry i stamped the writing on with a Urban stamps postmark stamp. i then glued on some fine glitter and sprayed it with Brilliant Red misting spray.

I used the Decorative Lamp clear stamp from Kaisercraft on some recycled card and embossed it with a heat gun. i then inked it with Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink and the dabbed it with white acrylic paint.
For the title i combined the papermania pampered pets alpha stickers and Winter Wonderland alpha stickers.
