The Memory Nest Make It Monday 53

Hi all

I am back with another sketch for The Memory Nest. This weeks sketch is by Leslie and you can play along at www.thememorynest.blogspot.co.uk

I dont normally do male themed layouts but once i had got my Pan Pastels out the colours said it all. I dont have many layouts of my brother Josh because he doesnt like having his photo took but i could always stalk his Facebook albums.

Here is the sketch and i hope you all feel inspired to play along with us.

The inks are from Oak House Studio and are Sapphire and Jet Acrylic inks. You can use them in ink pens but i like to paint and flick them onto my projects.

I made my own enamel dots by melting them in the oven on 200 degrees c for 5 minutes.

I used the wood effect paper from the new First Edition Love Story 12x12 pad. I used the square stencil by 13arts and i used Pan Pastels and rubbed the powder over the top, sealed with hairspray and used a fine pen to dram an outline.

These bright and exotic papers are from the new First Edition Moroccan Spice pad and are great for male themed projects.

Pan Pastels Steampunk card

Hi all

I have made a mixed media card by using Magenta and Blue Pan Pastels to create a textured background. If you would like to join in the challenges you can link up here http://welove2create.blogspot.co.uk/

I first blended Magenta with a little Blue and used it to colour the blank card base before applying a stencil. I then rubbed more of the Pastels over the stencil.

The image is coloured with Sepia and gold inks to create a metallic look

I then added the layers and placed the image over the top

Pan Pastels GDT A Colorful Life Journal

Hi all

I am back with another project for Pan Pastels. I made this colourful journal page using a mixture of pan pastels.

I got my texture stamps out and had a play using a mixture of Kaisercraft and the new Papermania Geometric stamps. I applied the pastels in bands of color and then blended them in using the red tint pastel.

I used the my free stamp from my Gecko Galz post and colored it in.

I then sealed the page using a gel medium
