I have used the MDF teapot plaque from the That Craft Place shop and gave it a coat of pink paint and DecoArt crackle paint and then a coat of light pink paint. Once dry i used the mini square stencil mask to apply texture paste to the base of the plaque and then spritzed with Magenta DecoArt Media mister.

I then adheres a selection of paper flowers to the plaque and then spritzed them with misters.

That Craft Place Anything Goes September Challenge.

Hi all

I am back with another project for That Craft Place and this time i have an altered 6x6 album. I  needed somewhere safe to keep all my ATCs from the swaps.

I used the 6x6 cogs stencil mask to create a 3d background and then painted the whole cover back and front in DecoArt Crackle Paint. Then i spritzed DecoArt Purple and Magenta misters over the cover and blended the colours with a sponge dabber.

I used assorted paper flowers from various Trimcraft ranges and dyed some white flowers with misters.

I added a few pearls and sparkles to the cover.

The 6x6 album comes with the word create and cogs to decorate it but i will use the cogs later.

For the inside i used plastic cd sleeves as the ATC pockets wouldn't fit inside the album.

That Craft Place Anything Goes August 2nd Challenge

Hi all

i am back with another DT project for That Craft Place Challenge Blog. If you would like to join our mixed media challenge then link up your blog to http://thatcraftplaceblog.blogspot.co.uk/ for a chance to win some goodies.

I have a layout to share this month and i will start off with a bit about how to build the background.

I started by using the mini squares stencil mask and then painted over it with DecoArt Crackle paint.

Once dry  i took  three spritzing inks: Artiste Cardinal Red, DecoArt Purple Mister, DecoArt Magenta Mister and spritzed them on to the page. I then spritzed water over them and let the colours run into each other and added even more ink and let it run down the page. I finished off the background by using texture stamps and stamping them arounfdthe page randomly.

I used a wooden frame from the That Craft Place shop and painted it with crackle paint before spritzing with inks. To stop the page bubbling up spritz water onto the front and back of the page as you dry it with a heat gun.

I used a photo of my Nan and Grandad

I spritzed white paper flowers with misters

I added lace and textile in between  the paper layers to add texture and painted the MDF word to use as a title.

That Craft Place Anything Goes July Challenge

Hello i am back with my entry for the mixed media July challenge over at That Craft Place. you can sign up here http://thatcraftplaceblog.blogspot.co.uk/

I have a mixed media scrapbook to share this time. The background i made by spritzing turquoise misters over the page and then i used the Tando Creative mini mask to add the texture.

This distressed anchor is easy to make, i took a chipboard anchor sold at That Craft Place and rubbed Silver DecoArt Metallic Lustre over and then rubbed a little Copper Kettle around the edges.

The large light house is part of a set sold by TCP and comes with a few seagulls and waves which i will use later. I simply painted light blue acrylic paint on the base and then painted a coat of DecoArt Crackle paste over it. I then used a texture stamp from Kaisercraft to add the pattern.

The netting is sold by the yard at TCP and is wide enough to be trimmed into smaller bits to use.

Thank you for looking and please remember to link up your creations with us. I will be popping over to your blogs soon.
