Colourcraft Guest Designer Galaxy Effect Card

Hello all

I am guest designer today and i am going to show you how to make a space themed card.

Start off by mixing a bit of Black Brusho Powder in with water. Then take a makeup sponge and dab it onto a card blank. Leave white spaces so that you can add other colours later.

Next take Turquoise, Purple and Crimson Red Brusho powders and sprinkle them on. wet with water so they spread out. Dry off with a heat gun on a low setting so you don't blow the ink off the card.

i discovered that the SprinkleIt powders create this milky way sort of effect when sprinkled onto a dark background so sprinkle away until you have this dense night sky look. Add it while the ink is wet so it stays put. You can get this fabulous stuff here  and the brusho powders are here.

Next add a stencil over the card.
I used a tiny splatter one but it started to come out chunky so i then took a paint brush and flicked on some white paint. mix the paint with water to get a fine spray.

Lastly i coloured in the stamps with markers and glued them onto the card along with a sentiment.

I then used the stamps on the background and then i added the sentiment stamp and image to each page.

No Fear Art Journal Page With Brusho Powders

Hi all

I  have a mixed media art journal page to share ro day.

I started off by painting Rose Red Brusho Powder onto the edges of the page and leaving it to dry. Then i added OST Red over the top. Next i took a mini stencil and used black Soft Form Relief Paste over the top. Then i used a brayer to add paint to another mini stencil and stamped the painted side over the page to get the negative imprint of the stencil.

Once dry i added texture stamps to the page using Red, Orange and Sepia ink. I then used a letter stencil with a marker pen to add the words to the page.

I then stamped out a few flowers and stamped over them with texture stamps before spraying them with the Scarlet Brusho spray.

Mixed media flower card

Hello all

I have a mixed media card to share today.

Start off by mixing Scarlet and Rose Red in a bit of water to make a watercolour ink. Next take a paint brush and paint the first colour on stating from the edge of the card. once the first colour has dried you can then paint over another colour until the first layer is finished.

Next use different texture stamps and stamp around the edges. Use black ink for the first layer and then brown ink on the second layer of stamps. Use the Black Soft Form paste and add a stencil mask to the edges of the card and allow it to set.

Rubb a bit of the Soft Form paste around the card to make it more grungy. Next ink the stem on the flower stamp and stamp it directly onto the white space on the card. Colour theis with Leaf Green Brusho Powder. Then stamp the flower  head and leaves onto white card and colour it carefully using Brusho powders. Cut them out and line the flower head up with the steam and glue it down along with the leaves.
