Goofy Sweary Unicorn Greeting Card For Adults

Hi all

I have an inappropriate greeting card for you all today.

I used the Ice Cream Unicorn By Bloobel which you can buy for $1 by clicking the image below.

The base of the card was created with a Gelli Plate which i have dusted off and spent a whole afternoon messing with. It was like those days in school where you create a giant mess and then take it home to show mum. Only this time i have a better understanding of how colours work.

I used a stencil on the Gelli Plate with white paint to create highlights which sort of worked but i may need more practice.

I used an alphabet background stamp with the worn grid stamp around the edges and stamped a few around the card allowing the ink to fade a little. 

I somehow resisted the urge to add glitter.

i used a mixture of paints and marker pens to colour the image. I got the sorbet look by mixing Rose Red Brusho Crystal Powders with White Gesso.

How To Create An Amazing Altered Steampunk Spool

Hi all

I have a little steampunk angel to share with you today not a DT project but just something i made up with my stash.

I started off by painting the MDF angel with acrylic paint and then i used a background stamp to add the rose pattern. I added a stencil and dry brushed some gold paint over the top.

I stamped out the heart bunting onto paper that i had printed off of a Gelli Plate, Cut them out and glue them to twine.

I pained a wood spool in white and wrapped tape measure print ribbon around it. I then tied a bow from the same ribbon and added a flower to the center before gluing the angel on top. I had to hold it why the glue set a little to stop it falling off.

Craft Stamper Magazine Projects Show And Tell

Hi all

I am just sharing the projects that were published in the May issue of Craft Stamper. 

My first project was a card. I used a mix of green Brusho powders to create the background and then used gesso down the centre to break the colour up and allow somewhere to stamp. I used a stencil with black modeling paste and added my stamping using Bee Crafty Stamps.  

For the art journal page i used a Gelli Plate and acrylic paint and just messed with it until i liked the end result. I then added stencils and stamps to the page.

Sin City Stamps Deep Sea ATCs Tutorial

Hello crafty friends

I have made up a few ATCs using the Nautical Stamp Set by SinCity Stamps.

Copper embossing powder

ATC Blanks

Acrylic paint Lagoon, Sea Green, Avocado

Circles stencil

Green misting ink

Marker pens

mini shells

1) Use Gelli plate to bend green and blue acrylic paint together.

2) Using the Journal Stamp Set, Stamp some texture over the ATCs 

3) Use a stencil to apply modeling paste to background and leave to dry.

4)  Use the Nautical Stamp Set and stamp the octopus and shells onto white card and colour in. Use a brush to paint on the ink.

5) Add the images to the ATC and decorate with shells.

1) Use Gelli plate to bend green and blue acrylic paint together.

2) Use drywall tape on the background and use metallic lustre to colour.

3) Use a stencil to apply modeling paste to background and leave to dry before using metallic lustre over the top.

4)  Use the Nautical Stamp Set and stamp the diver's helmet on to white card with pigment ink. Next sprinkle over copper embossing powder and heat to set.

5) Colour in with misting ink by using a paint brush

6) Add net trim to the corner and add the crab.

7) Decorate with small shells

1) Create the background with a Gelli plate.

2) Apply a stencil over the whole ATC using modeling paste and leave to dry.

3) Use metallic lustre over the raised parts of the background and then stamp over the surface using the textures from the journaling set.

4)Stamp out the bottles from the Nautical Stamp Set onto card and colour with marker pens. Adhere these to the ATC and add a sentiment to finish.

Oak House Studio Fabric Hearts Stamp Set Just For You Card

Hi all

I have been playing with my Oak House Studio stamps this week. It is nice to just have a play for once and i come up with this bunting card using the Fabric Hearts Stamp Set.

I also bought a Gelli Plate and have been playing with that too and it is one of my best craft purchases.

I stamped over the top of the Gelli Plate prints to create the layered look.
