cover a square blank with paper from the watercolour paper pad

Apply a stencil over the background and then use textures stamps to add a second layer.

Stamp out some hearts onto different sheets of paper and cut them out. Layer up the hearts using 3d foam squares, 

Add enamel dots to the card in clusters of twos and threes

Add a sentiment  to finish.

How To Create A Bright And Fun Art Journal Page With Sin City Stamps

Hi all

I have created a bright art journal page using Sin City Stamps and DecoArt Fluid Acrylics.

Sin City Stamps Art Journal Stamp Set

DecoArt Fluid Acrylics Turquoise, Primary Magenta, Quincridone Red, Hansa yellow Medium

DecoArt White Gesso

DecoArt White Modeling Paste

Old Book Pages

Start off by applying DecoArt White Gesso over a blank journal page. Use a spatula to create a more textured layer. Apply a modeling paste to the page using a stencil and paint the page with Primary Magenta Fluid Acrylic.

Apply gesso to random sections on the page and allow to dry before painting over with Yellow-Green, Turquoise and Quinacirdone Red fluid acrylics.

Using the Hearty Doodles stamp set, Stamp out a selection of different shaped hearts onto old book pages. colour them in using fluid acrylics and then  stamp over them using texture stamps. Cut out the hearts and glue them to the journal page.

Stamp a few texture stamps in between the hearts and then use the Art Journal Stamp Set to stamp Art over the hearts.

How to Create A Bright Mixed Media Tag

Hi all

Learn how to create this mixed media tag using the Hearty Doodles stamp set.

1) Cut a large tag from white card

2) Add blobs of pink and orange acrylic paint to tag and blend with a brayer.

3) Apply a texture paste using a stencil.

4)  Stamp out hearts onto card and spritz with water. Add powdered ink and leave to dry.

5) Apply modeling paste over the hearts.

6)  Cut a strip off paper and adhere to tag.

7) Spritz ink onto  white hessian and adhere to tag.

8)  Apply more modeling paste with a stencil and then add the hearts.

9) Finish tag with a sentiment and sequins.

How To Use Hearts To Create Flowers With Hearty Doodles

Hi all

I am back with a tag i made using my new stamp set Heart Doodles

I used a Gelli Plate to create the tag background and then i used the small textures over the top.  I then use texture sand paste with a stencil to add texture.

I made the flowers by stamping out the small heart onto pattered paper and then adding a small texture over the top. Next i cut them all out and pieced them together like petals.

Next i drew on a steam and leaves  and added a few enamel dots to the center. I finished off by adding paper flowers which i spritzed with  Valencia misting spray.

How to Create Wedding Themed Tags With Hearty Doodles Stamps

Hi all

More makes from Janet today using my Hearty Doodles stamps avalible at Sin City Stamps.

Cut the tag out of card and ink the surface. Cover sections of the tag with patterned paper and ink the edges.

Stamp out the label from the Wings stamp set and wrap twine around it. Adhere to bottom of tag and stamp a sentiment into the middle. 

Decorate with mini gems.

Stamp out a few hearts and cut them out. Adhere these along the middle of the card and add gems to them.

Ink up a white doily and glue it to the top of tbe tag. Trim to fit and then thread twine through the top. Stamp out a mini heart and attatch to top of tag.

Create your own  print look background by using a sentiment stamp and stamping along the background.

Stamp out a large heart and add to tag 

Use a texture stamp from the Hearty Doodles set to create a pattern at tbe top of the tag. Cover the rest of thr tag with patterned paper and place half a doily in the centre of the tag.

Add a row of hearts to the top and add gems to them.

How To Create Romantic Wedding Cards Using Hearty Doodles

Hello crafty friends

My mum Janet Lamb will be appearing as a guest designer on my blog now and again. This month she has been making wedding themed stationary using my Hearty Doodles Stamps set.

Take a card blank and cover a 3rd of the card with patterned paper and  dab ink over the rest of the card. Stamp out the hearts onto textured card stock and glue them onto the card with the largest heart in the center and then the other hearts along the side going from largest to smallest.

Stamp out the tag from the SinCity Stamps Wings set onto card and cut out. Next stamp the matching sentiment onto the tag.

Wrap matching twine around the card and leave the bit at the end longer so that you can tie the tag onto the card. Add a little heart to the edge to finish the look.

Finish card by adding pearls to the hearts

Here is an Art Journal page i made up using the Hearty Doodles stamps set.
