The Glittery Hands Box Sugar Skull Shaker Card

Hi all

I have a shaker card to share using the October box from The Glittery Hands. I used the sequins and papers that you receive with the box.

Cover card with orange paper.
Take a nesting die and place two different sized dies inside each other to create a frame.
Hold in place with washi tape.
Cut out 2 or 3 frames from craft foam depending on how thick it is.
Cut out a frame from the skull papers.
Now take the smaller die out and use the larger die to cut out 1 acetate and one patterned shape.
Glue the craft foam frames to the solid base and leave glue to dry.
Fill box with Halloween sequins and glue the acetate top on.
Once dry, glue on the patterned paper frame.
Glue box to card and decorate with paper flowers and small embellishments.
Cut a sentiment out of scrap craft foam and glue it down to finish.

The Glittery Hands Box Rainbow Shaker Planner Clip

Hello all

Who loves planners? well i tried and failed but i do love all the fancy stationery that comes with it so i have this super fun rainbow shaker planner clip to share which i made using this month's Glittery Hands Craft Box.

Use two small circle nesting dies and place the smallest into the center of the larger one. Secure with washi tape and then cut out two frames from craft foam and one from patterned paper.  Now take the small die out of the middle and then cut one from patterned paper for the base. Next cut out a circle from acetate for the top and that is all the pieces for the shaker box.
To put it together glue the two foam frames together and then glue those to the paper base.  Allow the glue to dry before adding sequins and glitter.

Next seal the box with the acetate top and then glue the frame cut from patterned paper to the top to neaten it off.
Take the shaker box and use a strong adhesive to glue it onto a jumbo paper clip, Secure the back with washi tape while the glue sets.
Gather up a selection of brightly colored gems and glue them around the frame of the planner clip to finish off the project.

The Glittery Hands Box Tea and Cake Cookie Bunting

Hello all
I have a easy tutorial for you to follow on how to make a cookie themed bunting using the May box from The Glittery Hands Box.

Start off by rolling out some paper clay and then use the heart cutter to cut out the cookies.

Use a needle to add some holies and to create a scalloped edge. Poke a hole in the top to add the string.

Paint the cookies with acrylic paint. I went for a traditional cookie colour but you can choose anything.

Use a hot glue gun to add the icing. The glue will take a few minutes to set depending on how thick the icing is. Paint these your desired colour and leave to dry.

I cut the letters out of craft foam using an alphabet die and glued them on.

Paint heavy gel medium onto each cookie and sprinkle micro beads over them.

Once they are dry, tie some twine though the top and thread them onto the ribbon. Use mini pegs to hold them in place.

The Glittery Hands May Tea And Cake Box Altered Frame

Hi all

I am back with my first project for The Glittery Hands Box design team. I have a reveal video as well so you can see what is in this months box. My first project was inspired a little by Alice in Wonderland.

Start off by coating the frame in gesso and then using crackle paste with a stencil over the top.

Once the first layer has dried off, Glue bits of lace and material to the frame and paint with gesso.

Paint the frame with different coloured acrylic paints.

Rub gesso over the top to tone down the colours a bit. Then spray red ink over the hears and glue to the frame.

Glue mini cards to the edges of the frame.
Dye a few white fabric flowers with ink and once dry, glue to the corners of the frame.

Paint the teapot shape white and use a small background stamp over the top.

Paint a mdf fork with rust paste and then dry brush with metallic paint,
Print out the image at 6 x 4 and colour in before placing inside the frame.

Thank you for visiting.
