Gecko Galz Steampunk Artist Trading Block

Hello all
This week i have a Artist Trading Block to share using digital papers and collage sheets from Gecko Galz.

Products used
DecoArt Texture Sand Paste
DecoArt Quincodone Gold Premium Acrylic Paint
ATB 3 inch and 5 inch Fernli Designs

I started off by using a square cutting die to cut out the paper pack to fit the ATB.
Next i added texture sand paste around the edges of the block and once set, i painted it with Quinacridone Gold Acrylic Paint.

I repeated the previous steps with the wings and clock parts too.
I then cut out the clocks and glued them on.
 Then added the rusted embellishments.

I reused a cotton bobbin that i had lying around from an old project. Ijust painted the top and base before adding the doll to the top. I added a large blob of texture sand paste and then pressed a piece of MDF in so i could prop the doll up.

Thank you for visiting

Ephemoire True Crime Themed Artist Trading Block

Hi all

I am back with an artist trading block to share today.
I apologize for the video as i was recovering from the dreaded lurgy at the time of filming.

Here is the video

I painted the block with black gesso and then added paper to the background. I used the Bonafide paper set and cut them to size using a square nesting die.
I forgot to mention that on the video.

I then applied a stencil mask and once the modeling paste had set, i sprayed it with red mist spray.

To get the pictures to fit, I cut out the people and glued them on.

This was a cheap plastic halloween garland with skeletons on. I cut them up and glued their bones to the block.

The blood drips are made using a red hot glue stick and a die cut as a mould.

The feet are some beads shaped like poison cans.

How To Decorate An ATB With Romantic Summer Collection

Hi all

I have made up an ATB using the Romantic Summer Decoupage pad available at Cherish the Memory. An ATB is an Artist Trading block also known as a chunky. It is basically a block that can be decorated on all sides or with one side open like a shrine.

I painted each piece in gesso first so that the paint wouldn't soak into the mdf. Then i coated it with DecoArt Texture sand paste before painting over with acrylic paint.

I dyed some cheese cloth with Tattered Angels glimmer mist and adhered it to the ATB, I then popped out the pieces from the card kit and glued them into place. I added shells and flowers to create more dimension,

For the top of the block i used a stencil and painted over it with Metallic Lustre. Then i placed down the die-cuts and embellishments. I filled a small bottle with seed beads and mini shells before gluing it to the top.

I used one of the backgrounds from the card kit and added the die-cuts. I then decorated it with shells and flowers.
