Ephemoire Gothic Tag Set

Hello Crafty Friends

I  am back with Ephemoire and i am making my entrance with the dark trio of tags. This is just a warm up while i flex my weirdness.

Products used
Creepy Closet
Human and Animal Bones Collection
Watercolour paints
Tim Holtz Tag dies
Embossing powder
paper flowers
pearls
Black glass chips

Print out the Bonafide papers onto card in grayscale. This was a happy accident !!
Place a large tag die or template over the papers so that you get the patterned part on most of the tag. then cut it out.
Colour in the patterned sections with watercolor paints
Apply a stencil mask to the plain parts of the tag

On the skull tag, glue on paper flowers and embellishments.
Then add a sentiment to finish.

For the other tags, stamp out a sentiment for each and then use embossing powder on the words.
Add the skeleton and skull images  to the tags.

Ephemoire True Crime Themed Artist Trading Block

Hi all

I am back with an artist trading block to share today.
I apologize for the video as i was recovering from the dreaded lurgy at the time of filming.

Here is the video

I painted the block with black gesso and then added paper to the background. I used the Bonafide paper set and cut them to size using a square nesting die.
I forgot to mention that on the video.

I then applied a stencil mask and once the modeling paste had set, i sprayed it with red mist spray.

To get the pictures to fit, I cut out the people and glued them on.

This was a cheap plastic halloween garland with skeletons on. I cut them up and glued their bones to the block.

The blood drips are made using a red hot glue stick and a die cut as a mould.

The feet are some beads shaped like poison cans.

Things to Alter Dolls of the Damned Halloween Wall Hanging

Hi all
i am back with a new creepy make using a wall hanging i got from a pound shop and MDF pieces from Things to Alter.

/I started off by painting the base black and then with Weathered Wood Crackle Medium. I then applied White Crackle Paint over the top to get the big cracks.

I then painted it around the edges with Quinacridone  Gold Fluid Acrylic which i spritzed with water to create a rusty effect.

The Doll heads was painted with Black Gesso and then weathered wood Crackle Medium. I then mixed grey and blue acrylic paint together and painted them up. I then rubbed around the eyes and mouth with a baby wipe to take a bit off the paint off and create a distressed look which i finished by adding Quinacridone Gold.

I punched the holes into the eyes using a Crop-a-dile and i just punched over the holes a few times to make them big enough to get the led lights through. They are held on with hot glue.

I bought so cobweb and spritzed it with Colour Chemistry Bobby's Grey and left it to dry. It looked a bit tacky left in its original colour.

I finished off by draping the cobwebs over and adding the lettering.

Skull Appreciation day June 4th 2016: Altered Box The Fallen

Hi All

Here is my make for Skull Appreciation Day where we all get together and make something using skulls.

I used a lot of DecoArt Media products on this one. I started by painting a large MDF box with DecoArt Media White Gesso and then i spread a thick layer of black gesso over the top and dried it off with a heat gun so that the top was spongy but not completely set. I then used a dragon scale ATC background stamp and pressed it into the gesso. Once set i then applied another layer of black gesso and used the Andy Skinner Snake's Web Stencil. I didn't intend on going for a fallen angel theme but with the scales and the winged skull it just went that way so i stuck with it.

I dry bushed the embossed areas using Dazzling Silver Metallic paint and rubbed Lavish Green and Cosmic Blue Metallic Lustre over the top of the silver. The winged skull is from Things to Alter

The skull was decorated using white gesso and then a layer of white modelling paste using the Short Circuit Stencil. Once dry i painted it with Dazzling metallics in silver and used Amethyst on the wings.

I repeated the dry brushed technique on the front and i painted the large joined wings with Dazzling Metallics in gold. The photo doesn't show it but it shimmers so beautifully in the light.

I did plan on putting velvet in the who inside but it went a bit wrong so i did just the lid with the bit i saved. I painted a star gold and added it to the lid to give it a mystical feel.

I really like Amethyst

Delicious Doodles June Pearls and Lace

                                                                       Hi all

I am back with my DT make for the June challenge over at Delicious Doodles. You can join the challenge here http://deliciousdoodleschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/

I used the Gothic Grunge 8x8 paper pack from Lelli-bot crafts for the layers. It comes with the toppers and sentiments that can be cut out and used as well.

I used the Creepy Crawlies Tattoo page and shunk it down so that it can be used as a topper.

I added a little spider charm onto some beading elastic and thread him through the back of the card so he dangles.

Delicious Doodles May Challenge April Showers Bring May Flowers and DT Call !!

My dark side is back after going missing for a few months so i am back with a new card for the Delicious Doodles DT. This month the theme is to use Flowers so i did sort of.  You can join us here at http://deliciousdoodleschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/

Would you like to join our team? We have a DT call on right now so pop over to the blog for the details.

I used the digital papers from the Curiosity Shop Kit by Gecko Galz and then stamped a few ink drops in Fire Brick Red using the Crafters Companion Journal Jotters Stamp Set.

The digi image i used is called The Ram Tattoo Colouring page but it can be re-sized to be used as a topper

I tied a bow in black ribbon and then glued a huge skull charm to it. I am surprised that the card could still stand up. Check out Lellibot crafts for some Gothic charm packs.

I felt compelled to add a spider sequin, I don't know why.

Delicious Doodles Creepmas Special

                                                                Hi all

I am back today with some dark Christmas cards for all those horror fans out there. Also known as Creepmas it's Halloween with extra glitter.

I coloured in the  Creepmas Centrepiece stamp in black and grey before cutting it out. I then used Jet Black acrylic ink to create the black ooze coming out the eye sockets and around the bottom of the card.

I used the Sheena Douglas Splats and stains stamp set which work so well with the darker style of crafting.

The Sentiment is a custom made stamp which i needed t go with my darker Christmas Cards

I used the Evil Snowman stamp for this card

This one is just a simple card with the stamp as the main topper

I hope i haven't freaked you out too much and thank you for visiting
