Craft Consortium Mixed Media Card Psychedelic Sugar Skull

Hi all

I have a funky sugar skull card to share today using the new paper pads by Craft Consortium.

Cover a 5 x 7 card blank with Moroccan patterned paper.
Use the plain blue sheet from the watercolour pad and cut into a rectangle  approximately 4 x 6, i used a paper cuter to help keep it straight.

Use a large scalloped circle die and cut out one of the patterned papers, glue it to the edge of the card and trim to fit.
Stamp out the sugar skull and colour in using marker pens, i tried to match the colours to the papers.

Add a sentiment using a cutting die and cut the word out using the Duck egg non shedding glitter card
decorate with mini buttons to finish.

Hellgnome's Death Digis The Lost Cosmonaut

Hello all

I am back with a space themed card using Hellgnome's death digis. Did you know that we have a collection of dead bodies floating around in space? yep Dogs, cats., monkeys and maybe a couple of Russian cosmonauts. During the space race of the 60s, scientists sent up a dog named Laika so they could study the effects of space on living things. Poor thing died because they didn't realise that there was no oxygen in space. It seems daft now but back then all this was new. Now there is a conspiracy theory that Russia lost a few astronauts during early test flights and they covered it up to save face.

use watercolour paints and randomly apply colours to the center of a blank card. Keep them matching so you don't get a muddy mess. Once dry, take black acrylic paint and paint the rest of the card, blend a little black into the colours. Take white acrylic paint and mix with a little water. make sure you have covered everything in paper including yourself as this bit gets messy!!. Flick the white paint over the card and keep going until you have added thousands of tiny stars to the card.

use markers on the spaceman, choose three matching colours and colour the image with the lightest colour first. Then decide which direction the light is shining. Use the second lightest colour on the part where the light meets the shadows. finally use the darkest colours on the bits where the shadows will fall. With practice you will soon get the hang of colouring.

paint a piece of card black and stamp a sentiment on using gold ink. Flick white paint over it and then use a white ball pen to add and outline to the sentiment. it is better to stamp the sentiment onto separate card in case it smudges

Craft Consortium English Garden Tall Dragonfly Card

Hi All

I have a card to share using the English Garden Papers from Craft Consortium and various stamps from Hackney & Co

Cover a blank card with patterned paper from the English Garden Paper Pad.
Spray with misting inks and leave to dry.
Stamp out a few hexagons using the Tell The Bees Stamp Set.
Cut out a large tag from the blue patterned paper.

Apply modelling paste to the tag using a mini stencil mask.
Use gold embossing powder over the top and use a heat gun to set it.
Adhere tag to centre of the card.

Stamp out three dragonflies from the Wildflower Meadow Stamp Set
Colour them in with watercolour paints and then paint the Blue Pearl Glue over the top to give the dragonflies shimmer.

Adhere the dragonflies along the centre of the tag.
Take some green sisal and staple it to the top of the tag.
Glue a large button to the top of the card and then finish with a sentiment.

You Can Be Anything Even A Unicorn

Hi all

I have a quick and easy mixed media card to share with you using the new Gummiapan stamps available from Swedish House Crafts.

Take a blank card and use a stencil with modeling paste over the whole card blank and let it dry.
Next spray over the top with random pastel coloured mist sprays allowing each layer to dry before adding another colour.

Stamp out 6 unicorns and colour the body in on one and the hair on the other. This stops the ink running into the main part of the image. All you have to do is cut the pieces out and glue them together.

Adhere the unicorns along the card and glue down

Finish with a matching sentiment

Kori Kumi Flower Shaker Card

Hi all

I thought i would share a card made using the Kori Kumi collection.

I used a nesting die for the shaker box and used craft foam instead of  foam tape. I will do a video on my technique which i originally learned off the Lawn Fawn team.

I love these sequins as they are bright colous instead of the usual metallic colors.
