Playing along with Life Paper Scrapbook's June Colour challenge which I combined with this sketch from page maps here is the link to their page .http://www.lifepaperscrapbook.com/2013/07/submission-call-issue-3.html
I don't do layouts of my family very often and decided it was time to get those photos out of the box. My nan isn't around anymore so this layout is important because it reflects how life is a roller coaster of joy and sorrow and how you have to live in the moment before it is gone. this page was rather emotional to make and you find that scrapbooking can be therapeutic when dealing with difficult subjects. Scrapbooks should be about your life's journey and include both the good times and the bad times because these make us who we are today.I like making flowers for my layouts here I used a circle die to cut out fabric and folded it I half twice to make petals I then sew them together with a running stich and kept threading the petals together. I use Tim Holtz Tattered florals and mini rosette dies for this project. with Amy Tangerine Yes please and scraps of various papermania papers.

Katie what a great layout. Love how you combined the sketch and colors. Seems like a fun color palette to play with. ALways enjoy seeing what you create.
What a terrific layout, I love the way you used that pop of bright red in the mix of flowers! Thanks so much for joining us for the challenge at LifePaperScrapbook.
