Docrafts PDT Capsule Collection Geometric Mono Cards

Hi all

I have some quick cards to show you using the Capsule Collection Geometric Mono Collection which you can see more of here www.docrafts.com

I used the die-cuts from the Ultimate Die-cut pack to create the layers and add a sentiment. Everything is all ready cut and coordinating for quick projects.

I added the neon adhesive dots to add a pop of colour

This card i made by taking one of the die-cut journal cards and cutting out the centre, which i covered with velum. I then added 3d foam tape around the edges and put some sequins inside before adhering to the card.

I used the die-cut pieces to create the detail in the corner and sentiment.

Thank you for looking

Docrafts PDT Capsule Collection Geometric Neon Scrapbook Page 2

Hi all

I have a new page from my mini book which is a fab place to start if you are new to scrapbooking as it is smaller in size and great if you like to print your own photos. They come in two colours Neon and Mono but we will soon have Mocha but Shh nobody knows that yet ;). Please keep you fingers crossed for me as i apply for another term  with the Docrafts Team who will be doing a blog hop this weekend to wave off the old team.

I have kept the page simple by matting my 4x4 photo on to a slightly larger background and then staggering another piece at an angle.

The flag is cut out of one of the tabs which come in a little book and i love the enamel stckers

sometime less is more and a more simple layout will draw more attention to the photo.

Trimcraft Scrapbook Feature Mum Layout using Stitching

Hi all
I am back with my layout i made for the Trimcraft Blog and you can see the full tutorial here http://www.trimcraft.co.uk/articles/mother-s-day-stitched-scrapbook-craft-workshop

This is the lovely Folk Song 12 x 12 pad which is part of our new Simply Creative Range

I have used stitching to add texture to the page but as i cant use a sewing machine i had to do it by hand.

I created the tag using the Kraft card and the Fiskars Tags Shape Template

The alphabet die set is varsity and is a good size for scrapbook titles

The stitched layers are easy to make, i first tore the corner off a 12x12 page and then used three different patterns and tore them at different lengths and glued together. I then stitched along the bottom.

Docrafts Creativity Essentials Samples Card Inspiration

Hi all
Here are a few cards I made usi ng the new creativity essentials stamp sets that are being shown on the Home Shopping Channel in the US.

I used the meadow stamp set here to create a floral scene by layering the flowers over the stems. I created a watercolour background using the Artiste Watercolour pens.

This card was made by layering the medow stamp sets together. The grass stamp has steams that you can line up and place flowers over.

This is the Forest stamp set and again i used water colour on the background and layered up the stamps to make a tree and wild forest scene

This is one of my favorites as it turned out really well

I was experimenting with creating toppers using the Folk Flowers stamps

Susan K Weckesser Creative Team February Friendship Smile Card

Hi all

I am back with another project for design team blog and this month the focus is friendship. I used the Fly Away stamp set for this project http://susankweckesser.com/product/fly-away/

This time i used  the Bouquet 12x12 sheet.
I added the first layer of texture to the cards using a stencil mask.

I then used sunshine yellow ink to stamp the second layer of texture using the A Little Bit Washi set.
Using the Fly Away set i stamped out the images onto card and coloured them in before cutting them out.

Using the Grunge Fun set i stamped a few tows of stitches down the page.
I stamped #bff on the sun from the Grunge Fun set and stuck it to the card using 3d foam pads.
I then stuck two clouds down and added mini  pegs to the tops so it looks like they are hanging by a thread.

HSC Samples for Docafts: Mixed Media Home Decor Projects

Hi all

Over the next few weeks i will be sharing my samples i made for the Docrafts show on Home Shopping Channel  in the US. I am stating off with the altered projects ts using the Bare Basics collection.

I used Artiste Acrylic paint as a primer before using the Trad Flower stamp set to decorate the frame.

This is one of the Bare Basics boxes which come in a set of three sizes. I stamped onto plain card and cut out a few flowers to decorate the centre of the box with.

Here i used white acrylic paint to coat the letters before using the Trad Flower Stamp Set to create different floral prints.

I used the Bare Basics Bunting and wooden letters to create this floral themed banner.

Things To Alter DT: Steampunk Necklace

                                                              Hi all

i am back with another post to show off this charm necklace i made using the steampuink MDF pieces form Things To Alter. I recently bought a Crop-a-dile so  i couldn't wait to have a play about with it and i am impressed.

I used the Dreaming Lady piece and i coloured the cogs in with Tim Holtz Distress Markers before using the rust effect on the rest of the head.

I used gun metal chain and cut it to about 20in before punching a hole in the top of the MDF pieces. I used the cogs grab bag to create the rusted charms with and then added offer charms around them to create the charm necklace.

I used Cinnamon to add the rust texture and the more lumpy and uneven the better.

Thank you for visiting and you can find the MDF pieces in the shop http://thingstoalter.co.uk/.

we have also launched our new Facebook group where you can share your mixed media makes https://www.facebook.com/groups/1578437669085933/

Gecko Galz DT February It's all about Love with a free digi stamp

Hi all

I am back with a grungy mixed media card using the Beautiful Backgrounds Digi Stamps and a mixture of Susan K  Weckesser stamps. I decided to stick with the love theme for this project  which is our customer challenge theme for this month so pop over to the blog for your chance to win some goodies. http://geckogalzscrapbooking.blogspot.co.uk/

I would like to wish you all a Happy Valentines.

I printed out the stamp so it roughly fit a 5x7 card blank. I hen spritzed both Gold, Sepia and Paris Pink spritzing inks over the page and let it dry.

I then covered the one side of the card in texture paste and stamped it with a texture stamp.

I used a few layers of lace to cover up any gaps between the card and the background stamp and added a few hearts and sentiment.

I finished the card off with a painted MDF heart and sequins.

Here is your free stamp for the month.
Please visit the rest of the team blogs to collect the set

Here is a simple card made using the free stamp

Docrafts Creativity Essentials Stamp Kit Layouts

Hi all

I am back with another post showing off my layouts i made for the Home Shopping Channel. I used the Creativity Essentials Trad Flower stamp sets to create the mixed media backgrounds.

With this page i spritzed Aubergine Spritzing ink onto the background and placed the flower stamps on to a large acrylic block. I then  used the blue and purple shading pads to blend the colours

I used the Artiste Watercolour Pens to colour the background before stamping the grass texture stamp along the bottom. I then added stems and flowers before finishing off by cutting out the photo and adhering it in place.

Here i used the lowers to create a spray across the page before adding the layers using a mixture of the Capsule Collection Eau De Nil and French Lavender collections.

Here is another way that you can use the stamps to create an interesting background.
