i am back with another post to show off this charm necklace i made using the steampuink MDF pieces form Things To Alter. I recently bought a Crop-a-dile so i couldn't wait to have a play about with it and i am impressed.
I used the Dreaming Lady piece and i coloured the cogs in with Tim Holtz Distress Markers before using the rust effect on the rest of the head.
I used gun metal chain and cut it to about 20in before punching a hole in the top of the MDF pieces. I used the cogs grab bag to create the rusted charms with and then added offer charms around them to create the charm necklace.
I used Cinnamon to add the rust texture and the more lumpy and uneven the better.
Thank you for visiting and you can find the MDF pieces in the shop http://thingstoalter.co.uk/.
we have also launched our new Facebook group where you can share your mixed media makes https://www.facebook.com/groups/1578437669085933/
I am entering this into the SASPC feb challenge http://sandee-and-amelie.blogspot.co.at/2016/02/mid-month-reminder-for-our-february.html
