Hi all
We are on to the March challenge for Bleeding Art. If only the bleeding weather would warm up lol. This month i decided to dig out my cotton spools which were a lot slimmer than they looked when i ordered them online. I have had them in my stash for a bit as i had no idea what to do with them until now.
I have created a set of nature themed altered cotton spools.
As it is supposed to be spring already lol.
So here is how i made them:
- Cut out ephemera and apply glue to the spool, then wide it around the center.
- Cut out three 2 inch circles from thick cardstock and glue the spool to the card base,
- Spray everything with green mist spray.
- Dye cheesecloth green using inks and dry it off before gluing it to the base.
- Cut out fairies and glue them to a hat pin.
- Apply blobs of glue to the top of the spool and then push the fairies into the whole in the center.
- Glue on fake moss, resin flowers and butterflies to the top and pillar.
- Glue beads and flowers to the bottom to finish.
Thank you for visiting
