Emerald Creek Crafts Flowers On The Wall Altered Picture Frame

Hello all
I am up on the Emerald Creek Crafts blog this month with an altered frame. Check out how i made this bellow.

Products used
DecoArt Black Gesso
DecoArt Metallics Festive Red
DecoArt Crafter's Acrylic Burgundy
DecoArt Crafter's Acrylic Coffee

Take a cheap plastic frame, mine is from Poundland which is like Dollar store.
Cover whole frame in a few coats of black gesso.

Once the gesso has fully dried, paint on red metallic paint.

i created the roses by pressing paper clay into a silicone mold and then backing them until they set.
I then painted them in burgundy and brown acrylic paint. Before the paint dried i sprinkled on the embossing powder and melted it with a heat gun.

That's fabulous, Katie! I love the effect of all the elements combined but I really like the flowers on their own too! :o)

Great altered picture frame, great texture on it too. Those roses look great, I must have a go at this too one day.
