The Blank Page Muse Live Love Laugh Tag

Hello all

I have a tag to share using the new stamps by The Blank Page Muse.

Take a blank tag and apply acrylic paint to the tag base with a makeup sponge

Use texture stamps to add a few extra layers to the base.

Stamp out the flowers and colour them in with watercolour paints. 

Cut them out and cluster them together on the tag.

Use 3D foam pads to raise them up a bit so that they layer together easier.

Add a sentiment to the center

Decorate with lace and ribbon to finish

This month's customer challenge is all about summer so i have a postcard to share today.

Start off by covering a postcard in acrylic paint. 

Next add stamps to the background and ink edges.

Stamp on the sentiment.

Stamp out a few tropical stamps,colour and cut out.

Cut out one of the beach babes and add her to the card.

Add the tropical embellishments to finish.

The Blank Page Muse Cloudy With a Chance of Unicorns Card

Hello all

Just a quick idea using the new Unicorns Wishes Moon Stars and Words stamp set from The Blank Page Muse

Add patterned paper to the background.

Take a A6 piece of card and paint with acrylic paints.

Add texture stamps to the background and ink the edges.

Stamp the unicorn out onto book print and colour in.

Cut out and add to card along with a sentiment.

Stamp out two clouds and cut them out.

Use small self adhesive gems for rain to finish.

Craft Consortium Steampunk Gentleman Card

Hello all

I have been playing with the new Metal Effects paper pad by Craft Consortium. It is part of the new collection of The Essential Craft Papers range being launched this month.

1. Cover 5 x 7 card with paper
2. Cut out a 6 x 4 piece of plain card and paint with red acrylic paint
3. Once dry tear the edges and glue to card
4. Add a stencil and texture stamps
5. Cut out the ephemera and layer the pieces up on the card.
6. Die cut a few cogs and other pieces, then layer those over each other
7. Add red thread over the center of the card.
8. Cut out one of the old photos and adhere it to card using 3d foam pads
9. Decorate with embellishments.

Take a cheap plastic frame, mine is from Poundland which is like Dollar store.

Cover whole frame in a few coats of black gesso.

Once the gesso has fully dried, paint on red metallic paint.

i created the roses by pressing paper clay into a silicone mold and then backing them until they set.

I then painted them in burgundy and brown acrylic paint. Before the paint dried i sprinkled on the embossing powder and melted it with a heat gun.

I have a quick make to share !!

I made this steampunk themed art journal page using stamps by the Blank Page Muse.

To create the background,Apply a stencil mask to part of the page and then add the inks. Once dry, Add a few layers of background stamps.

Stamp the Alice stamp onto old music sheet and then colour with inks. Repeat this step with the octopus stamp and then cut them out. Place the images onto the journal page, then gather up any odd alphabet stickers and use them to create a title.

Colourcraft Guest Designer Galaxy Effect Card

Hello all

I am guest designer today and i am going to show you how to make a space themed card.

Start off by mixing a bit of Black Brusho Powder in with water. Then take a makeup sponge and dab it onto a card blank. Leave white spaces so that you can add other colours later.

Next take Turquoise, Purple and Crimson Red Brusho powders and sprinkle them on. wet with water so they spread out. Dry off with a heat gun on a low setting so you don't blow the ink off the card.

i discovered that the SprinkleIt powders create this milky way sort of effect when sprinkled onto a dark background so sprinkle away until you have this dense night sky look. Add it while the ink is wet so it stays put. You can get this fabulous stuff here  and the brusho powders are here.

Next add a stencil over the card.

I used a tiny splatter one but it started to come out chunky so i then took a paint brush and flicked on some white paint. mix the paint with water to get a fine spray.

Lastly i coloured in the stamps with markers and glued them onto the card along with a sentiment.

Artful Days Fairy ATCS

Hi all

1. Stamp out the coffee stain stamps onto the base, cover with embossing powder and apply heat.
2. Use watercolor paints to paint over the background.
3. Apply a texture stamp over the ATCs
4. Glue on sisal and apply heavy gel medium, sprinkle over embossing powder and melt with a heat gun.
5. for the fairies, paint the body with Prima Texture Fantasy Paste. Apply heavy gel medium to the wings and use embossing powder to create the vibrant textures.
6. Once the fairy is glued down, add Art balls, Sand, Deco Sprinkles and a word charm.

HunkyDory Blog Review Gamer ATCs

Hello all

I got to play with some products from Hunkydory. I made up these artist trading coins using the Alien Invasion Stamps by For The Love of Stamps

Paint the atc blanks with watercolour paints and then use the alien stamps to create a background.  

Next colour in the joystick with marker pens. I remember the old Atari controllers used to look like this!!. How our games have changed!

Finish by stamping out player on to card and then the corresponding numbers and then glue them on to the ATCs to finish

Hello all

A New Year is a time for renewed creativity and today i have a art journal page to share. There is a tutorial too if you would like to have a go.

Products used

Open Weave Fishnet Texture Stamp

Corrugated Stripe Patterned Background Boarder Stamp 

Correspondence Pens, Ink & Postage Art Stamps

Scratched Brick Pattern Texture Stamp

Red mist spray

yellow mist spray

Burgundy Ink

Dark Red Ink

Stencil

Modeling Paste

gesso 

Card 

Use red ink on a blank page and once dry, add yellow.

Use Corrugated Stripe Patterned Background Boarder stamp along the edge of the page.

Apply a stencil to the page and pain over with gesso.

Then add another layer of stamps.

Stamp around the corners using the Scratched  brick wall stamp.

Stamp out the ink pot and pen tips stamps onto card and cut them out.

Line up the pen tips on the page in size order.

Add a sentiment and few more stamps to the middle of the page to finish.
