DecoArt Blogger Outreach with Blank Page Muse Stamps

Hello all

It's has been a while since i blogged and to be honest i did plan to focus mainly on Instagram but the last 10 months of my life have been crazy starting with changes to my work hours and location, which are back to normal now but i am struggling to get back into things. Any way i have been mainly art journaling because i have had to give up half my craft room for our online business so i have no room for the chunky projects anymore. I did have a good clear out which has helped but i am still finding stuff lol. 

So here is my latest art journal. I started by stamping the background stamps on first and then adding the DecoArt mist sprays. The Blank Page Muse has all these new stamps which are great for us mixed media people. I will add the links at the bottom for you to take a look.

I hope everyone is ok today? The world is in absolute chaos and the only thing we can do is stay indoors and create.

The Blank Page Muse Do Not Enter Zombie Apocalypse Card July

Hello all

I have a zombie themed card for you that was inspired by The Walking Dead.

I took a piece of card and stamped on the wooden background stamp from the Knock on Wood Set. I created a fold before gluing it to the front of a 5 x 7 card blank.

The hands were made using a metal die cut and i painted the card with skin tone acrylic paint before i cut them out. I used red ink to add the blood stains.

The do not enter stamp is from the Urban Grunge Set. I just stamped it out onto card and cut it so it would fit across the doors.

Here is the zombie behind the doors. He is the Zombie Time Man stamp which i colored in with marker pens.

StencilGirl Guest Designer Mermaid Art Journal

Hello all

I am guest designer for StencilGirl and today i have a mixed media art journal layout using a few of the new stencils.

Acrylic paints

Start off by dabbing two tones of blue acrylic paint on to a blank journal. i use a make up sponge for a smoother finish. 

Next take a texture background stamp and stamp it in navy blue along the center of the pages. Take a few smaller ones and stamp those around the pages.

Use a makeup sponge to dab paint through the stencils and leave to fully dry. Then place the stencil back over the image and draw around the outline of the stencil with a fine black pen.

The Blank Page Muse Dare to Dream Art Journal Page

                                                                             Hi all

I have an at journal page to share using the new Dare to Dream background stamp by The Blank Page Muse 

Dab acrylic paint onto the blank journal page with a sponge.

Use texture stamps around the edges and use different coloured inks to layer them over each other.

Take the Dare to dream stamp and using a pale coloured ink, stamp it randomly around the page.

Stamp out the Dare to Dream stamp onto plain white card and colour in with watercolour paints.

Cut it out and add it to the top corner of the page.

Take a few word phrase stamps and stamp them out onto white card, color with yellow watercolour paint and then cut them out before adding to the page.

The Blank Page Muse Wind Chime

Hello all

I have a new project for The Blank Page Muse Stamps and this week i have a wind chime to share.
products used

The Blank Page Muse Dare to Dream  Mixed Media Background Stamp Set
Acrylic paints
Makeup sponges
Circle Cutting dies
Card Stock.
Beads
Thread
Dowel

Use a circle nesting die to cut out three different shaped circles. Cut out two of each so you can stick them back to back. You will need to cut out three pairs of each circle size.
Use a make up sponge to dab on acrylic paint in your choice of colour.

Use the Dare to Dream stamp and ink it up.
Press each of the circles onto the stamp to get a bit of the pattern on each one.

Take some thread and thread a few beads on. Then add glue to one of the circles and sandwich it between the thread.

Then add another layer of beads followed by the circles. Finish off each strand with a big bead or charm,repeat this process until you have three strands of beads and circles.

Take a thick piece of dowel and tie twine around the ends to create a hanger.
Tie each strand to the doweling to finish the wind chime.

The Blank Page Muse Live Love Laugh Tag

Hello all

I have a tag to share using the new stamps by The Blank Page Muse.

Take a blank tag and apply acrylic paint to the tag base with a makeup sponge

Use texture stamps to add a few extra layers to the base.

Stamp out the flowers and colour them in with watercolour paints. 

Cut them out and cluster them together on the tag.

Use 3D foam pads to raise them up a bit so that they layer together easier.

Add a sentiment to the center

Decorate with lace and ribbon to finish

The Blank Page Muse Steampunk Bottles

Hi all

These started out as little liquor bottles. They were empty when I got them before you ask lol.

DecoArt Texture Sand Paste

DecoArt Premium Acrylics Quinacridone Gold.

Start off by covering the bottles in a thick layer of gesso.

Next cover the bottle tops with texture sand paste and leave to fully dry.

Paint tops with rust coloured paint like Quinacridone Gold.

Cut up white tissue into smaller sheets and then ink the Iron Works stamp with embossing ink. 

Stamp this into the tissue paper and add embossing powder.

Use adhesive on the bottles and carefully add the embossed paper onto the base of the bottles.

Stamp out the wings and steampunk men onto card. 

Cut them out and glue wings to the back of the bottles and the steampunk men onto the front.

Decorate bottle tops with charms and tiny light bulbs.

The Blank Page Muse Cloudy With a Chance of Unicorns Card

Hello all

Just a quick idea using the new Unicorns Wishes Moon Stars and Words stamp set from The Blank Page Muse

Add patterned paper to the background.

Take a A6 piece of card and paint with acrylic paints.

Add texture stamps to the background and ink the edges.

Stamp the unicorn out onto book print and colour in.

Cut out and add to card along with a sentiment.

Stamp out two clouds and cut them out.

Use small self adhesive gems for rain to finish.

Use a stencil mask on the blank page.

Apply texture stamps to the background.

Apply a layer of gesso

Add red and yellow inks to the page.

Apply another layer of gesso.

Add more texture stamps and emboss some of them with embossing powder.

Stamp out the steampunk dragon and spray with ink.

Cut out and add to page

Finish with a sentiment.
