The Blank Page Muse March Challenge Spring Butterflies ATCs

Hi All

 I am back with a new challenge and tutorial for The Blank Page Muse Team. All links and challenge rules are posted below and on the team blog.


Visit us on the 10th of each month and the crazy creative Muse Team will have loads of inspiration to share, each with projects following a theme. Each project will have a link to the Muse's blog for more details. Come back throughout the month as we share more fun and creative ways to play with your rubber stamps!



Start off by coating the blank ATCs with gesso and then adding layers of different inks. Allow each layer to dry before adding another colour to prevent it going muddy.

Next stamp a few background stamps onto the ATCs


Take a sheet of white card and stamp out a few butterflies from the Make A Wish stamp set. Colour them in using inks to create a watercolor look. 


Apply crackle paint onto the ATCs and then add another layer of ink once it has set.


Add dry wall tape to this ATC and then glue down the butterflies.


This one is similar but with resin flowers and buttons.


The last ATC i added burlap and thread.

Challenge Rules:
  • The Challenge runs from the 10th of the month to the 5th of the following month, midnight Pacific time.
  • Create a new project following the theme in the post on the 10th. Come back here and add it via the Inlinkz linky tool. Please make sure the link is to your specific project post.
  • You can add 2 new projects as long as they are new and linked to separate posts on your blog or public Facebook page.
  • Project(s) must have physical stamps clearly used. The stamps don't have to be ours but we'd love it if they were!
  • Tag us @blankpagemuse on Facebook or #blankpagemuse on Instagram with your project and you will get an extra entry to the random drawing.
  • PRIZES! Yes we will have ONE prize! If we have at least 10 unique people link up that follow the theme, there will be a random drawing for a $10 Blank Page Muse Gift Certificate. If we get to 20 unique players there will be a random drawing for a $20 Blank Page Muse Gift Certificate. 
  • The Winner will be posted here on the blog on the 9th of the month before the next challenge is posted
