Gecko Galz DT April Customer Challenge Butterflies,Lace and Ribbons

                                                                                    Hi all

I am back with this months samples for the Gecko Galz design team. The customer challenge for April is Roses, Lace and Butterflies. You can join our challenge here http://geckogalzscrapbooking.blogspot.co.uk/

I used the new Spring Awakening paper pack  and Trimcraft  Bohemian for the layers. I then added a bit of lace across the card.

I coloured in the Butterflies with First Edition Marker Pens and cut them out. I used the Butterfly Dreams Stamp Set for the topper.

I finished off with some ribbon roses.

Forever Dark July DT

                                Hi all
i am back this week with some more dark inspiration from the Forever Dark Challenge team. Our sponsors this month are Kenny K, Limited Runs and Lacy Sunshine. So with out further a do on to the projects. Winner receive 3 digital stamps from one of the three sponsors above so whats there to lose? please link your challenge entries up at http://foreverdarkchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/challenge-1.html

My first card is using the Savannah Belle stamp by Kenny K. I love all things steampunk so had a lot of fun creating the distressed metal look by mixing black and bronze embossing powders together. If you mix black and silver you get an oily or burnt metal look. I have also used the DecoArt metallic luster and rubbed it over kraft card which gives it a metalic finish but is a bit quicker.

Next we are on to the Limited Runs stamps by Nikki C. I love the Halloween cupcakes so you will be seeing more of these.

                                                           Thank you for visiting

How to color hair with Artiste Watercolor pens

Hi i am back with a mini tutorial on how to colour hair, I'm still learning but here is where i have got to so far

Take the lightest tone of yellow or whichever colour you are using and colour in the areas where you think the light would fall.

next take a darker tone and colour in the areas that would be in the shadows.

Finally go over the roots and darker tones with a darker colour to create texture.
