A Step in the Dark Design Team January IKE's Art

                                                                  Hi all

I am back with my final project for the design team our sponsor this month is IKE and i have used the Medusa digi stamp to make a quick wall hanging. This is a very simple project. I coloured in the image with my First Edition Marker pens and used a grey pen from my Artiste watercolour pen set to colour around the image.

i used garnet coloured gems to give the eyes a spooky look.

I used circle nesting dies for the layers and adhered some jute to the back.

A Step In The Dark: Giger Tribute

                                                                       Hi all

I am back with another Sci Fi themed project and this time it is using the Giger Tribute stamp from IKE's art who will be our sponsor this month. HR Giger is the artist who designed the aliens in the Aliens movie franchise and also the Engineers and their technology from the Prometheus series. His style is steampunk horror and depicts cyborg like creatures. His work varies from haunting to sexual but both are equally unnerving. I didnt have any paper to match the theme so i used the Cog Stencil from That Craft Place to add a patern to a blank card and then spritzed it with metalic inks

A Step In The Dark November Challenge

     Hi all I am back with a few steam punk cards and  a dark Creepmas card to share with you for my DT makes this month. I started off by colouring the steampunk heart stamp in with First Edition Marker Pens which i then layered over a heart shaped doily. I cut out a strip of paper from the Santoro Willow paper pad and trimmed the edges with Fiskars edging scissors. I stamped the clock onto pale paper using the Time Machine stamp set by Kaisercraft. I used copper embossing powder on the clocks and sentiment and then cut them out and stuck them down.

For my second card i went for rusty metallic colours and used the Time Travel stamp set for the sentiment.

                     My next card is rather dark and gothic.

I used red spritzing ink to create a bloody mess running down the card and embossed the sentiment in Red Tinsel embossing powder.

I added to the dark theme by using black card and red pearl for the snowflakes. I rather like black snowflakes.

A Step In The Dark: Shadow Clocksy Pop-Culture Zombie Girl

Hi all

As Halloween aproches i though i would amp up the gore a bit. Only i knocked over the rep spritzing ink and now my desk and carpet are red too.

Here is a close up of the digi stamp i used which is the Pop-culture zombie girl one.

I dipped my fingers in red Deco Art mister to create a few bloody finger prints

I stamped the sentiment out using red Dovecraft ink as it doesn't run when wet. I then dribbled more red misting ink along the bottom and let it run a bit. I will be back with more dark projects with my Forever Dark projects.
