IKE's Art November Thanks Giving U/sing Rustic Digi Stamp

Hello all

I am back with another make for the IKE's Art team.  This week the theme is Thanks Giving so here is a card complete with turkey

Is it just me or are turkey's just really ugly? Anyway i choose the Rustic digital satmp  because it has been awhile since i had a turkey dinner and i think that is a big part of Thanks Giving that and soccer.

Nothing can beat a lovely roast. Is this card making you hungry? It's making me hungry.

IKE's Art November Challenge Remembrance

                                                              Hi all

November is going to be a difficult month as the Father in Law is going through chemo to keep the cancer under control. It means he will be unwell while he goes through the six month course so we can't really plan anything ahead this year. I don't normally post personal stuff on here but if things go a bit lax that is why.

This week at IKE's Art  it is remembrance week and I used the Female Troops  Stamp Set and added a few poppy's using the First Edition Layered Flowers Die Set. November is a time to remember all those who have died fighting for our freedom and our safety they paid the ultimate price for us.

The papers are from the Gecko Galz and are the Autumn set but i liked the browns as it gave a old feel to the project.

IKE's Art Spooky Love Madam Death Halloween Card

Hello crafy friends and welcome to another blog post for the IKE's Art design team. It is nearly Halloween so the theme on the IKE's Art blog this week is spooky love so i have something spooky and a bit naughty to share. If you would like to join in with the challenge for a chance to grab yourself some IKE's Art images then pop over here http://ikesworldchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/

Warning this blog post contains nipples which viewers may find offensive unless you like nipples in which case it is ok.

Here she is the lovely Black Widow who would have your head off the minute you took your eyes off her.

I used scraps of Halloween papers from the Gecko Galz and then i used a Tim Holtz Strip die the one with the spiders wed to add another layer.

I love these alternative sentiments which you can find over at Athena Crafts.

These are the mini dies by Docrafts and they are awesome.

I finished off the card using a small MDF spider from Things to Alter and a bit of black Metallic Lustre.

Thank you for visiting and i look forward to seeing all your spooky makes over at the IKE's Art Challenge blog. I will be popping in to say hi so get those entries in.

Ike's Art Halloween Kitties Yay Meowloween card

Hi all

I am back with my next card using the Yay Meowloween digi stamp that is completely free over on the Ike's Art Fan Page right here https://www.facebook.com/groups/IkesArtFanPage/. I wonder if the Cats go Trick or Treating for food? I can imagine Leo trying that one on, If only they came back with money and sweets.

He looks really happy to see Halloween and i can see why as its the only time of year i can get away with making creepy stuff and passing it of as normal.

I used the Frightful and delightful papers by Gecko Galz for the layers.

I added a couple of clusters of embellishments around the image and added more cobwebs because nothing reminds you of a haunted abandoned house like a few cobwebs.

Oh look a spider

IKE's Art DT Girl Power Week Using The Suffragette Image

                                                                           Hi all

I am super excited to announce that i am on IKE's team and my first make follows the Girl Power theme as it is breast cancer awareness month. So while there are no Spice Girls in sight today i choose to use the Suffragette image. If you didn't learn about them in school they was a group of women who fought for the right for women to vote.

Did you know that Victorian women never wore pink? In fact it was the opposite way around with Victorian children. The boys wore pale pink and girls wore blue. This was because Victorian children would wear the same colors as the adults but a much paler shade. In the Victorian era men wore red and women wore blue as red was a strong masculine shade and blue was considered feminine and delicate. Here is an interesting article to read http://www.history.com/news/history-lists/5-things-victorian-women-didnt-do-much

I colored in the image with First Edition alcohol markers. The Victorians didn't wear a lot of bright colors so i went with browns.

I used the Kori Kumi die set to create the flowers. I added half of one patterned paper to the top of the card and another on the bottom half. I then added another color over the middle.

Ike's Art Halloween Kitties Hello Kitteh Halloween

Hi all

I have another card made using Ike's Art Images. This one is free on the blog http://ikesworldchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/

I colored her in with First Edition markers and used Gecko Galz Frightfully Delightful papers for the layers.

I kept the face white so it looks like a mask rather then skin.

I added web trim to the card for texture which i spritzed with black and purple misters

IKE's Art Halloween Kitties Catular

                                                                                  Hi all

I have been making a few cards up using Ike's Art digi stamps. The first one is using Catular and i colored him in using Halloween colors but he kinda ended up looking like the Grinch.

                                        http://ikesworldchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/

I discovered that you can create a spooky effect using cheap cobweb and inking it with misters to dye it a not so cheap looking color. I wrapped it around the embellishments because its not Halloween without cheap Poundland cobwebs.

I used misters to color white paper flowers so that they look more seasonal.

Ike's Art Design Team Call

Hi all

I had retired from digi teams but i had difficulty saying no to Ike's Art who has always been one of my favorites. Not that i am creeping or anything ok maybe a little bit.

So let me introduce myself
My name is Katie and i am based in the UK. I have 3 cats who seem to be more destructive then a small child and one of them drinks tea. I work in a bookies so nothing can shock me anymore. I am a Sci Fi fan so that has a bit of an influence on my darker side especially the Aliens franchise and Blade Runner.

I have been crafting for over 10 years but i am fairly new to the digital side of crafting. I have worked with a few dark themed challenge teams before including Delicious Doodles. I am a mixed media artist who likes to add a dark twist to things and i have no idea where that come from as i am a bit of a wimp when watching horror movies. I am curious  by the weird and unexplained so that might be it.

A Step in the Dark Design Team January IKE's Art

                                                                  Hi all

I am back with my final project for the design team our sponsor this month is IKE and i have used the Medusa digi stamp to make a quick wall hanging. If you would like the chance to win a few stamps from IKE's Art  then link up your projects to our Facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/groups/629105100496386/

This is a very simple project. I coloured in the image with my First Edition Marker pens and used a grey pen from my Artiste watercolour pen set to colour around the image.

i used garnet coloured gems to give the eyes a spooky look.

I used circle nesting dies for the layers and adhered some jute to the back.

IKE'S Art Show Us Your Pussies Challenge: Catmouse Tree Free Stamp

Yes we are referring to cats and i have a new card to share for those cat lovers. Here is a link to the new challenge blog http://showusyourpussies.blogspot.gr/2015/11/show-us-your-pussies-challenge-1-krimbo.html

I have used the Catmouse Tree digi stamp that is yours for free from the IKE  http://showusyourpussies.blogspot.gr/2015/11/are-you-brushing-up-them-kitties.html

And if you would like to join our facebook group it is here https://www.facebook.com/groups/IkesArtFanPage/?fref=ts

So here is my card using the free stamp from the blog. Its perfect for cat lovers and is most likely what many cat owners trees actually look like. You could try surrounding the tree with empty boxes in an attempt to distract them from the sparkly bulbuls your cats are plotting to murder. Failing that add extra bulbuls to the bottom of the tree and super glue your best decorations to the tree.

Here is a close up of the stamp, Pink kitties are a popular fashion accessory in  Russia but i wouldn't advise dyeing any kitten as its both deadly and will result in said kitten plotting to kill you after. But seriously don't dye your cat its just stupid and cruel.

A Step In The Dark: Giger Tribute

                                                                       Hi all

I am back with another Sci Fi themed project and this time it is using the Giger Tribute stamp from IKE's art who will be our sponsor this month. HR Giger is the artist who designed the aliens in the Aliens movie franchise and also the Engineers and their technology from the Prometheus series. His style is steampunk horror and depicts cyborg like creatures. His work varies from haunting to sexual but both are equally unnerving. To play along upload you projects to the December album in our facebook group here https://www.facebook.com/groups/629105100496386/

I didnt have any paper to match the theme so i used the Cog Stencil from That Craft Place to add a patern to a blank card and then spritzed it with metalic inks

Forever Dark October Challenge

                                                          Hi all
I am back with another challenge for the Forever Dark Design Team and our sponsor this month is IKE's Art. Please link up your projects to the blog for your chance to win some of IKE's digis for yourself. http://foreverdark2.blogspot.co.uk/

I had to use this image as it just cracked me up for some reason. It is called Catular and can be found here http://www.ikesart.com/#!__digi-animals

He reminds me of my cat without the fangs and cape of course.
