Time Mixed Media Canvas With Brusho Crystal Powders

Hello all

I am going to teach you how to create this mixed media canvas using Brusho Crystal Powders.

Start off by applying gesso to the blank canvas and then gather a thick blob of modeling paste on the end of a pallet knife. Apply the blobs of modeling paste to the canvas spreading it thickly in the desired place.

Sprinkle glass glitter and various art stones over the modeling paste and pat down carefully with a palette knife. allow the modeling paste to set a bit before sprinkling  Turquoise and Purple over the background. Apply water over the powders and use a brush to control the flow of colour.

Paint a wooden frame with gesso and then gold Aztec Eco Metallic Luster. The wings and face and made by squashing paper clay into a silicone mold. It takes about a day for them to set but the clay is firm enough to pop out of the mold so you can make a batch up. Paint everything in gold and allow to dry.

Glue the wings and face onto the frame and then glue a second pair of wings to the side of the frame. Add clusters of flowers and metal charms across the canvas and add a title to finish

Colourcraft Winter Wonderland Altered Birdhouse With Expand It

Hi all

I am back up on the blog today with a very snowy altered birdhouse.

Glue the birdhouse together and then paint with gesso or cheap white acrylic paint. Unless you want  to stamp onto the surface it is easier to glue the item together and then paint it. It you paint the parts before gluing it together then the parts might not snap together correctly.

Mix white gesso with Turquoise Brusho Crystal Powder and paint over the birdhouse. Next use a crackle paint  over the top to get the cracks. I then used Pear Aztec Eco Metallic Luster as the final layer to give it an icy shimmer.

Take a palette knife and spread Expand it over the top generously . I then sprinkled on some glass glitter but anything fine and sparkly will work too. I then heated it with the heat gun and watched the snow form.

I then painted more Pearl Eco Metallic luster over the top.

The icicles are created by using a hot glue gun and squeezing the glue onto a non stick surface. It can then be peeled off and glued to the edge of the roof.

Colourcraft Heart With Tyvck Flowers

Hi all

I am on the blog today with a Winter themed wall hanging. I used Tyvek paper to create embellishments.

Take a mdf heart and paint with gesso before painting it with Copper Aztec Metallics Lustre paint and leave to dry.

Paint over the heart with crackle medium and leave it to set before painting over the top with white acrylic paint.

Cover surface with Aztec Metallic Lustre White Pearl  paint to add a icy shimmer.

To create the flowers i.used a die cut to cut out circles from the Tyvek paper. I tried it with cog dies and achieved a more textured look.

Paint the circles with Aztec Metallic Luster or fabric paints.

Punch a hole through the centers and use a  heat gun to crinkle up the Tyvek to create the flowers.

Finish of by adding flowers and foilage around the Tyvek flowers and add lace to the top of the heart so it can be hung up.

How to Create The Follow Your Dreams Art Journal Page

Hello crafty friends

Learn how to create this art journal using Brusho inks and household items. Here is a link to the website.

1)  Cover a blank page with a stencil.

2) Once dry spray water over the top and flick Rose Red, Orange and  OST Red over the top.

3)  Stamp on the background with texture stamps.

4)  Glue white thread to the page.

5) Using a non stick surface, Paint Gold Eco Metallic Lustre over dry wall tape. Peel off the tape and cut up before adding to page. The paint dries like gold leaf which can be added to embellishments.

6)  Dye paper towels with Rose Red and OST Red Brushos and once dry, Die cut heart shapes out of them. Glue hearts around the page.

7) Glue the painted tape to the centre of the page.

8)  Add a sentiment and feathers using a stamp
