Creativity Magazine issue 63: 8x8 Scrapbook Card

Hi all

Just sharing my make from Creativity Magazine issue 63. I had to create a layout that could be converted into a greeting card for family and friends.

I choose a childhood photo of me and Josh with our Grandparents. By converting photos to black and white you can use them with any colour scheme.

The flowers were made by spritzing white posies red and gold. I then cut out the flowers from the patterened paper to use to build the layers.

The Pocket Full of Posies range is very vintage and i love the lace trim and charms that come with this range.

Lots of foil prints with this range and a lot of bling

i love these self adhesive gems they sparkle a lot

The decoupage sheets have lots of toppers on them

Creativity Magazine Issue 61: 3 Ways With Spritzing Inks

Hi all 

I can share my makes for Crativity Magazine issue 61 now.

Its always a great feeling to see my makes published

Here is my layout which i had to use the Artiste Spritzing inks on. I use them on everything so i had to think up a few different ways of using them. So i spritzed them onto the page and added water so i could paint with them and created a watercolour background.

I let some of the ink drip down the page

I have a thing for neon and have added it to everything but don't worry because now Christmas crafting has started it will be glitter that is added to everything instead and maybe neon.

An apple a day: 3d Apple card featured in Creativity Magazine issue 60

As seen in Creativity Magazine issue 60 here are a few shots of my 3d apple cards.

I loved making these and plan on doing a few for Halloween.

I used coordination card to cut the large part of the apple out and the free Fruity download for the centre.

These stick together like you are making an accordion book.

start by cutting out 12 heart shapes using the Xcut nesting die

fold in half and cut off the bottom but curve around it as you cut

Repeat by cutting out 12 smaller hearts and cutting off the bottoms. and stick in the centre.

i have inked the edges

now stick them together by gluing one side to the other like book pages

 it should look like this.

My 8x8 layout in Creativity Magazine issue 59

Hi everyone 

I am back with another project i made for creativity issue 59.

This is an 8x8 layout of Timmy who just loves to sleep in boxes. No box is to tall are too small for him to squeeze in.

A Pop of Neon: Creativity Magazine issue 58

Following my first major feature in Creativity Magazine, i am now going to share my layout in more detail and give you a few tips on how to use this range.

Here a few tips

Do not be afraid to use bright colours such as neon. 

When used in the right quantity they can produce stunning effects. 

The Bare Basics Neon range was designed to compliment the existing Bare Basics products and works best with soft neutral colours. 

Tone down the brightness with kraft or black card stock.

I added texture to this layout by cutting out fancy boarders using boarder dies and Xcut boarder punches. Add dimension by layering them up by stacking 3d foam pads together.

I rubbed paint over white mulberry flowers so that the bright colours would not overwhelm the layout.

Use stamps to create embellishments by stamping them onto card and cutting them out. I made mini gringham stars by using the mini start palm punch and punching through the stamped image.
