Family Layout

I have recently started reading Scrapbook Magazine again and received issue 88 which had some beautiful Prima papers free. Here is a scrapbook page i made using the free papers and the Leyton 12x12 pad from the Dovecraft Value range

The stencil mask is by Prima, i have just started using the 12 x12 masks which are much easier for covering layouts in texture.

I used misters to alter the paper flowers to match the colour scheme.

Coming soon to Scrapbook Magazine

Hi  everyone

I have been sitting on some fantastic news for the last few weeks and now i can announce it.

I have been asked to work with the design team at Scrapbook Magazine and will be introduced as a designer in issue 90. I can't show you my layouts until after the magazine has been published but i can give you a peek of whats to come.

This is my first layout made with the lovely Sweet Paris range, the mist spray is the Ayeeda range by 13arts.

                                               
 My next layout uses a mixture of Docrafts ranges but mostly the Eau de nil and French Lavender ranges and of course my favorite Artiste spritzing inks, i can only hope they extend this range soon.

My next layout uses a lot of Oak House Studio products, mostly the Colour Chemistry inks and the Sea life and Sea Shells stamps. I've added a few bits from the Happy Scatter valentines range which i have recently found on Etsy.


I  have one last layout to make and send in but it will be a surprise for now. I also have more exciting crafty news to share but i will have to keep it quiet until March.


I can't wait to begin working with the team and learning a lot of new techniques as i face a new challenge. Once i have been published i will post my layouts with more details and a step by steps.

Featured in Scrapbook Magazine issue 73

Hi i have some good news to share, i received my issue of SBM 73 and my layout was featured in the Your Layouts section. i feel honoured that they choose my layout as so many readers must send in every week. Gizmo loves to dress up and you know cats if they don't want to do something they won't do it no matter how hard you try. I think he liked wearing the scarf because it kept him warm otherwise i think he would have hidden it some where.

 

                                                i based my layout on this sketch from issue 69

 and here it is in print in one of the best selling Scrapbook magazines in the UK.

 to get the scalloped edge i drew around a large doily in pencil and cut it out.

 I used Tim Holtz Tea Stain Distress Ink to colour the doily and then layered patterned paper over it. the bubble stickers are from Anita's and paperchase.

i never thought that any of my layouts would make it into a scrapbook magazine and was very surprised to see my Exmouth layout printed in the your layouts section.  it just shows that you have to be brave and just go for it even if you think you have no chance of winning.

 i used papermania capsule collection and basic grey. i dyed some old book pages with Brushido dye and used the sizzix shell set .

i typed the journaling out on a computer and i drew around the letters to create a boarder and cut them out.
