Cut another piece of pattered paper out and use a boarder punch along the edge before gluing to card.
Cut a doily on half and glue along the center.

Wrap gold twine around the center of the card and fix in place with tape.
Cut out a tag and glue a small chipboard tag to the center
Add a paper flower to the center

Add a bow to the top of the tag and glue to card.
Add a bit of gold washi tape to the bottom and add a sentiment

How To Bind Books Using Divine Twine

Hi all

I have been meaning to make a junk journal and discovered a simple way to bind books with Divine Twine.

1) Take and old hardcover book and cut out the page using a sharp knife.

2) Depending on how many signatures you want to create will depend on how much twine you will need but it always works out at double  the number of signatures. I used 5 on my journal so i did 10 lots of twine that where the length of the book i used. Leave a extra length or two at either end so that the book can be tied together.

3) Once you have your lengths of twine, tightly wrap them around the spine.

4) Take the left end of the twine and thread it through the signatures at the back of the book. Gather the right end of the twine and tie a knot.

5) Next gather up your papers and any interesting mail and fold it all into a booklet. This is then threaded through the signatures and held in place with the twine.

6)  Fold a few Itty Bitty Bags in half and thread through the twine with the papers. These make great mini books and pockets.

7) Decorate your pages with bits and pieces.

Whisker Graphics November Up and Away Birthday Card

Hi all

I have a new mixed media card to share which i started off by spritzing ink over a blank card and letting it dry.

I colored in the little Guinea pig with Prima Watercolours and you can find him on the Blooble etsy site.

I used a die cut for the balloons which i cut from textured card stock and inked before gluing strands of Solid White Twine to each one to create a bunch of balloons that are lifting him away.

Whoosh off he goes

Whisker Graphics October Pocket Birthday Card

                                                                            Hi all

I have another make to share using Whisker Graphics products and a tutorial for you to follow. I like the new Kori Kumi papers as they remind me of summer which has long since departed and left us with the colder weather.

First cover the card with patterned paper and then use a stencil mask on the base and leave to dry.

cut a strip of paper 2 cm by 15 cm and stick it to the center of the card

Cut a wider strip 4 cm by 10 cm and use a border punch along the edges.

Wrap White Divine Twine around the bottom of the Little Bitty Bag

Die cut two small butterflies and layer them up. Wrap Divine Twine around the center and then add a button and a bow before adding them to the bottom of the Little Bitty Bag.

Adhere a Little Bitty Bag to the middle and slot a Large Colored Tag inside

Take a button and thread White Divine Twine through the middle and tie into a bow. Glue this to top of tag.

Finish off card with a sentiment and buttons, adding Divine Twine through the centers to create little bows.

Whisker Graphics How To Create A Altered Party Bag For Trick or Treats.

Hi all

I have my first project as part of the Whisker Graphics Design Team. I love Halloween do you? We are starting to celebrate it a bit more in the UK now but we still don’t have as many Halloween things as the USA so we make our own. I  altered a paper bag to make a little Halloween gift bag but what is going to be lurking inside?

I used the Divine Twine Twists Halloween bakers twine to create this traditional trick or treat bag. I might fill it with toy bugs just because I have a wicked side.

1) Take a paper bag in one of the Halloween colours and trim the edge off with scissors. Then punch along the top with a boarder punch.

2) fold the top of the bag over on itself and punch a hole in the center of the fold

3) Stamp around the bottom right corner with a texture stamp and then add washi tape across the bottom.

3) Thread a length of Divine Twine Twists Halloween twine through the top and tie into a bow to hold bag shut.

4) Cut out a rectangle 3 cm x 6cm from card and wrap Divine Twine Twists Halloween twine around it. Adhere to bottom right corner.

5) Stamp out a sentiment and cut it out

6) Adhere sentiment and decorate
