Cherish The Memory Inspire Seaside Themed Altered Letters

I have a new make to share using the Summer Feelings paper pads available at Cherish The Memory.

I started off by painting each letter with white paint as an under coat and once that had dries i then painted over the top with DecoArt Premium Acrylic Turquoise. Then i applied DecoArt Texture Sand Paste and let it set.

 

I painted on Quinacidone Gold Fluid acrylic to get the rust. I wasn't sure to go steampunk on these or not so i met in the middle and went for a water worn look.

 

Next dye some cheese cloth. 

I used blue and light green to get this colour, This stuff is great as it gets disstressed when you heat dry it so you get this worn net look.

I used heavy gel medium to paste down the cloth and then i started decorationg the letters using the die cuts from the Summer Feeling Die Cut pad.

I also added gems and beads to the letters.

I used fake moss to create this underwater look. I was thinking about the things you find in the rockpools  after the tide has gone in.

Cherish the Memory How To Create A Beautiful Beach Card

Hello all

I have a mixed media card made using the Romantic Summer Collection available at Cherish the Memory. 

I used a 6 x 6 paper pad from Studio Light for the base layer and roughed up the edges with a pair of scissors. I then used one of the background sheets from the card making kit and glued it to the center of the card.

I then took the porthole topper and cut out the porthole part and then adhered it to some patterned paper and adhere it to the card. Next i took a large MDF anchor and painted it with sandstone acrylic paint.

I spritzed some cheese cloth with blue misting spray and let it dry before adding it to the corners of the card. I wrapped some around the anchor and adhered die-cuts,flowers and shells over the top.

I finished off the card by adding washi tape to the corners and adding a sentiment.

How To Create A Stunning Nautical Greeting Card

Hi all

I have another project for you today using products from Cherish the Memory.  Summer is definitely here in the UK and all i want to do is go to the beach oh well i guess i will have to make seaside themed projects for a bit instead.

I used the vintage papers 6 x 6 paper pad on the card blank and then i used the background from the Romantic Summer Card kit to add the next layer. I added texture sand paste and a stencil to give it a nice sandy look.

I dyed cheese cloth with Brusho powder and spritzed with water to spread the ink. I then dried it out and adhered it to the page. I repeated this step with the webbed trim and then added shells and die cuts from the Romantic Summer Card Kit.

I added a large clam for the main topper and continued to layer up the die cut flowers and shells. I then finished by adding pearls and a sentiment.

How To Decorate An ATB With Romantic Summer Collection

Hi all

I have made up an ATB using the Romantic Summer Decoupage pad available at Cherish the Memory. An ATB is an Artist Trading block also known as a chunky. It is basically a block that can be decorated on all sides or with one side open like a shrine.

I painted each piece in gesso first so that the paint wouldn't soak into the mdf. Then i coated it with DecoArt Texture sand paste before painting over with acrylic paint.

I dyed some cheese cloth with Tattered Angels glimmer mist and adhered it to the ATB, I then popped out the pieces from the card kit and glued them into place. I added shells and flowers to create more dimension,

For the top of the block i used a stencil and painted over it with Metallic Lustre. Then i placed down the die-cuts and embellishments. I filled a small bottle with seed beads and mini shells before gluing it to the top.

I used one of the backgrounds from the card kit and added the die-cuts. I then decorated it with shells and flowers.
