How To Create A Stunning Shabby Chic Card With Fabscraps

Hi all

I was asked to be a guest designer for Fabscraps. Here is my first make using the Charms of Spring collection

Cover the card with patterned paper and then take the chipboard topper and paint with pink acrylic paint. Coat with crackle medium and once dry paint over with white acrylic paint.

Glue the chipboard onto a sheet of pattered paper and trim to fit before adhering to the card. Decorate the chipboard with half pearls. Glue a length of pearl trim to thin ribbon and glue to bottom of the card.

Decorate with paper flowers and ribbon.
Finish by adding a sentiment sticker in the top corner.

How To Create An Inventive Steampunk Altered Box With DecoArt

Hi all
I created a steampunk box for the Decoart Blogger Outreach Program.

I covered the whole box in black gesso and once dry i then used a stencil with black modeling paste over the box.

I dry brushed the box over with Silver Spark, Copper Kettle and Gold Rush Metallic Lustre. For the fastening i painted the metal with gesso and then Texture Sand Paste which i molded over the fastening. I then painted it with Gold Rush Metallic Lustre and Quinacridone Gold to give it a rust wore look.

I used Chipboard cogs and embellishments i had created using a mold and casting plaster. I first painted everything with black gesso and then metallic lustre but it was too clean so i added texture sand paste and more Quinacridone Gold to weather it.

How To Create A Steampunk Heritage layout

 Hi all

I have created a mixed media layout of my Great Grandfather Albert. He was stationed in India during the war but other then that i dont know much about him. I used the Mechanical Illusion paper pad from Scrapberry;s.

I created the background by applying black gesso over the section where the photo will be placed. I then added a couple of stencils and spritzed with ink. Once dry i added a layer of metallic paint.
Next i started cutting up the sheets and cutting out the detailed sections and layered them up.

I used chipboard cogs and painted them with Decoart Texture Sand Paste to give them a rusty look. I then painted them with Quinacridone Gold and added a little Texture Fierro Iron.
