Winter Woodland Layout Mr Robin

Hi all

I have another layout made using the Winter Woodland Collection by Craft Consortium.

Start off by applying gesso to a 12 x 12 sheet of paper. Use a pallet knife to drag the gesso across the page.

Once dry apply a stencil mask over the top using modeling paste and allow to set.

Spritz are with a couple of green mist sprays and allow to dry

Cut up the Winter Woodland papers into squares and strips and position them onto the page before gluing down.

Just play around with the paper layers until you are happy with the final look.

Mount your photograph onto card and trim to fit layout.

Using the robin stamps from the Winter Woodland Collection, Stamp out the little birds onto card and then color in with watercolor paints. Let them dry and then cut them out before adding to the page.

Add a few holly leaves and use the enamel dots from the Kori Kumi collection to add the berries.

Finish off by adding a title using alphabet stickers.

1)  Start adding colour to the background using powdered inks. Apply water before sprinkling them over the page.
2)  Use the Journaling and Hearty Doodles stamps to add a layer of texture to the background.

3) mix some of the powdered ink with modeling paste and apply a few stencils to the page.

4) Stamp a few rows of arrows  using the stamp from the journaling set.

5) Cut up a few strips off patterned paper and adhere to page,

6) Add a few strios of washi tape and trims.

7) Mount photo on to cardstock and trim to fit.

8) Apply a little more modeling paste over the layers.

National Craft Month Sin City Stamps Blog Hop: Nautical Scrapbook Page

Hello crafty friends

May is National Craft Month and all the team over at Sin City Stamps are hosting a blog hop for everyone to join in.

All you have to do is create a project using a stamp from Sin City Stamps and add it to our linky bellow

I have created a mixed media scrapbook page using the Nautical Stamp set. There are two sets of Nautical loveliness to collect and both are equally detailed.

Stamp sets used

To create the background i used a mixture of stencils and used them with modelling paste to create the embossed areas. I then used brusho inks to add a layer of colour and then applied gesso over the top with a palette knife. I then added more ink and stamped round the page using the textures from the Journaling set.

The material is cheesecloth and i added it between the paper layers and clustered embellishments around it.

I keep adding layers until i am happy with the way the page looks, Adding stamped embellishments for more depth. Age papers using walnut ink or a tea bag.

I used layers of banners to create a background to add the title.

Things To Alter Seaside Layout With 12 x 12 MDF Blank Circle

Hi all

This is my last official post as design team member for Things to Alter. It was decided that the challenge blog wasn't getting enough entries and it was taking a lot of Jac's time to organize so for the time being she is focusing on running the online shop.  I wanted to say a huge thank you to all the guest team that i have worked with over the last few month. I really enjoyed seeing all your creations.

I used the 12x12 Circle as the base because it is great for holding wet mediums.  I painted the base in gesso and used the DecoArt Stencil to add the first layer and then used Turquoise Color Burst powders to add a vibrant blue color.

The frame is the Geoclusters Bubble Frame and i added a couple of the seaside shapes.

I used Craft Consortium Gypsy Gypsy with Kaisercraft collectibles for the layers and added a bit of trim.

the picture is of my Nan and i am not sure where which seaside location she is but it might be Skegness.

Crafters' Palette DT: Scrapbook Tutorial Using Kaisercraft Ma Cherie Collection.

Hi all
Here is my first project and tutorial for the Crafter's Palette team. I used a mixture of Tim Holtz and Kaisercraft products which are tow of my favorites.

Take a 12 x 12 sheet of pink Brazil Basics Card Stock and apply modelling paste around the edges using the Tim Holtz Gothic Lace Stencil.
Once dry, Rub over with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and rub a bit along the edges of the page and corners.
Stamp over the corners and edges using Kaisercraft Texture Stamps in Black Soot and Worn Lipstick
Cut a 7 x 5 rectangle and mat your photo onto it
Cut a larger rectangle about 9 x 7 and adhere to page
Adhere photo to edge of rectangle using 3D foam pads

Cut a few strips from patterned paper and trim in half, Slot these behind the photo.
Take the Ma Cherie Collectibles pack and slot the large flower die-cuts along the side of the photo. Cut the largest one in half and slot either side of photo.

Take a tag die-cut and slot it at the top of the photo, Spritz a few white paper flowers with magenta mister and adhere in clusters around page. Add a few Butterflies with pearls in the centers.
Cut the strip off the bottom of the 12 x 12 sheet and use the patterned side to create a few paper ribbons. Adhere these to top and bottom of page.
Finish layout with a sentiment topper for the title and a few more flowers.

Thank you for visiting.

Trimcraft Scrapbook Workshop July: Paradise Crush Summer Holiday Layout

Hi all

I am back with my Scrapbook Workshop for July. You can find the full tutorial over on the Trimcraft blog.

I wanted to create a  layout that reminded me of summer so i used the new First Edition Paradise Crush papers  to create this bright holiday layout.

this is the large shell from the First Edition Beach Die Set. They look great with pearls and flowers stuck to the centers.

This is a close up to show how you can layer the dies and paper flowers together to create unique combinations.

I drew around the Photo Frames so i can add patterned paper to them. They are great for coloring over with inks or just writing onto for journaling.

These are the new Alphabet stickers from our Simply Creative brand. They are very good quality and come in different textures such as chipboard. Foam and Glitter.
