How To Decorate A MDF Advent Calendar With Best Glue Ever

Hi all

I am up on the Scraperfect blog today with an altered Advent calendar using Best Glue Ever.

Start off by coating the mdf with gesso or white paint. This is so the next paint layer doesn't soak into the wood.

Once the first layer has dried ,apply the top coat of paint. I choose traditional colours.

I used a number die cut set and used brown craft foam. I then used Best Glue Ever to adhere them to the draws.

I then gathered up a selection of small embelishments and gems and used Best Glue Ever to adhere them to the draws.

I added small gems and pearls to the Christmas trees by adding small blobs of glue. I used the fine tipped cap which makes it easier to  add glue to small pieces.

Cherish the Memory Woodland Winter Christmas Cards

                                                                Hi all

I have made up a few cards using the card kits available at Cherish the Memory. They are easy to make up and come with lots of extra bits which can be used on other projects. This one is called Winter Woodland https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/556329215/woodland-winter-die-cut-block-for-card?ref=shop_home_active_3

The kits are designed to fit most 6 x 6 and A6 cards

I love the golden foil accents with this kit.

There are many different pieces which can be mixed and matched to make the cards more unique.

Use 3D foam pads to add dimension to the cards

Gecko Galz Customer Challenge November Deck The Halls

Hi all

I am back with my card for the Customer Challenge. The theme this month is Deck  The Halls so plenty of Christmas themed inspiration off the team this month.

I made a really simple card using the Winter Wonderland Paper pack and the Figgy Pudding Stamp Set. I colored the image in with gold ink to give the wings a sparkle. I used a peel off sticker from the Dovecraft Basics range for the sentiment and added a few glitter dots for extra sparkle.

Docrafts Christmas 2015 Create Christmas: Let it snow 12x12 Scrapbook layout

Hi all

I am back with a new layout made using the new Create Christmas range.

I used the flourish and honeycomb dies as stencils and appled texture paste to them to create a textured background. I then spritzed it with Artiste  Gold and Ocean Blue misters. I used tissue paper strips to build up a textured layer.

I used a Square Parenthesis nesting die to mount the photo on and cut various die shapes out for the layers. The snowflake is from the wooden

This is one of the wooden sentiments that i have painted with white acrylic paint and spritzed with inks.

I used the glitter paper pack to die-cut the leaves and flourishes to add a lovely icy sparkle to the page.

I used the fine glitter to coat the flowers and wooden snowflakes

Trimcraft Christmas 2015 First Edition Gilded Winter: Be Merry Layout and Sketch

Hi all

I am going to start introducing more scrapbook layouts on to the blog as i used to do before life got crazy. I will also be introducing matching sketches to accompany some of my layouts as well.

I used the Me to You Christmas pad from last year for the background and the 8x8 Gilded Winter pad for the layers. The Gilded Winter pads are being relaunched for this year which i am happy about as i loved them last year but they sold out so fast i never got hold of the 12x12 pad.

Here is my first sketch i am sharing which i hope will inspire you to have a go at scrapbooking. I hope to share a new one every month.

I used the First Edition markers to draw around a stencil and colour it in. These are really good markers that give an even and smooth coat of colour.

I cut the gold foil floral shape out of the patterned paper from the 8x8 Gilded Winter pad. I then painted one of the plant markers from the Forget me not range with DecoArt crackle paint and stamped snowflakes onto it.

I used the First Edition Markers purple set to colour in a wooden embellishment which i used for the title.

Thank you for visiting and if you make anything with the sketch please leave a link to your blog or gallery in the comments and i shall visit and leave some love xx

Festive Fun Day 3 : custom gift wrapping

some last minute gift wrap ideas and mine usually are last minute,

you can pick up rolls of brown parcel wrap fairly cheaply theses days, i get mine form Poundland and its great to keep in as you can adapt it to suit any occasion. to make the customised gift wrap i just filled a 6x6 acrylic stamping block with an assortment of random Christmas themed stamps. you can choose just words or images, the fun is about mixing them up to get a different look. i then inked the lot and stamped along the paper, i placed a foam mat underneath to get an even image but a mouse mat also works.

Why not decorate an empty jar with paper and ribbons? you can fill them with sweets of baking mixes to give as presents. i used a variety of different items from twine and lace to decoupage

sheets. as long as you use a strong glue or glue gun you can stick anything to your jars.

bottles are difficult to wrap so why not make a fancy cover to go over the bottle. I cut out a large rectangle shape and used a small circle die to make the opening for the bottle. i used the Papermania Bellissima Christmas decoupage sheets to decorate the topper.

I added a tree decoration over the top as an extra gift.

Thank you for looking
