Trimcraft Scrapbook Feature October: Santoro Willow Mixed Media page

I have used a new technique where you use the steel dies as a stencil mask. I just placed it onto the page and applied the texture paste over the top. The photo is of Worcester town centre which has a lot of Tudor buildings. Most of them are so old that they are wonky and look like they are falling in.

I like to rip and tear paper doilies to add layers and texture to my pages.

Don't be afraid to add stickers amongst the layers to add colour and texture to the layout.

Trimcraft 'scrapbook feature: Willow A4 layout

Hi all

for this month's feature i thought i would try something different and made an A4 scrapbook page using the Santoro Willow range.

I love steampunk so when i got this range to work with i couldnt help but use some of the steampunk elements within this range

I used a mixture of dies and strips of paper that had been hand cut into different shapes to build the layers

The cogs are cut from cardboard and i used them as a mask to decorate the background

When you remove the cardboard cogs off the page you are left with an outline and you can reuse the cogs later

That Craft Place Mixed Media Anything Goes Challenge August

Hi all

I am back with the next challenge and this time i have made a mixed media tag using a mixture of Santoro Willow products and MDF from That Craft Place. You can join us for our August mixed media themed challenge over at http://thatcraftplaceblog.blogspot.co.uk/

I started off by painting a coat of  sage acrylic paint onto the base and then spritzing it with Artiste Electric Blue Spritzing ink.

I then used the Willow The Mechanic of my heart stamp set to stamp cogs over the tag which i then embossed with copper embossing powder.

The steampunk butterfly was made by gluing a wooden key embellishment to the centre of a wooden butterfly. i then glued a few cogs to it and painted the lot in bronze acrylic paint

I covered a resin embellishment with DecoArt Copper Kettle Metallic Luster and and stuck it over a few mini hexagons.

Winter Wedding with Guilded Winter

We have started counting down to the Trimcraft Christmas 2015 product launch. For now i am going to be sharing a few of my favourite ranges from 2014.

The First Edition Gilded Winter collection does not have to be used on just Christmas cards but can be used for Winter Wedding cards.

Make this simple pin by taking a small dress makers pin and threading assorted beads into it. Place a blob of strong glue on the last bead to hold it together.

I like making shaker cards and finding interesting things to fill them with. I used the Fiskars small star leaver punch with sequins.

I choose to use layers on this card to add deph to it. I used chocolate glitter card to add a bit of sparkle to it.

I used the  First Edition doily die set and the new Willow die set to create this layered topper.

Santoro Willow card inspiration

Hi All

I have a few cards to share from the Willow range. 

I used the character topper as the main focus of the card adding flicks of DecoArt misters and sequins to add texture.

The new range has lots of little bits from plastic buttons to peacock feathers

I like the steampunk vibe from this collection

i made a shaker card by cutting the small cogs out of craft foam. The Willow steel die set comes with lots of interesting bits like cogs and mini hearts. Its a versatile set

I alteted a mini peg using the lace ribbon and a foam heart. I designed the mini peg so that it could be taken off the card and reused.

The A4 sticker sheet contains a lot of large stickers that can be used as toppers. The stickers are printed on thick card so they are sturdy.

          The large cogs are from the die set.
